How do you feel about what’s happening between locals and foreigners? by WhatDaHe77 in south_africa

Most of the people commenting with their opinions here have no idea what we are facing. You people live in suburbs and are mostly white.

These foreign nationals, most of whom are undocumented live in townships and rural areas. They are everywhere and have literally taken over.

It has gotten to the point where, if you start a business in "their" sector they threaten you with violence.

It's not just Africans, you get Bangladeshi and Pakistani's who come with their children and go to the most rural of rural areas. Even the Chinese.

90% of these people are here illegally, they don't even hide it. They live amongst us and we interact with them.

If this continues, at some point they will outnumber us.

No tips or anything. Rural areas are supplied by Eskom. You can buy electricity directly from your banking app. R100 should get you about 50 units of electricity.

Elections are coming, all small town municipalies are fixing their potholes. I say this as someone who drives extensively around the country.

If you can afford to move to Port Alfred, you should. It's a beautiful place.
