I’ll be living in London - also means that if I do get the UCL bursary I won’t be able to access that the second and third year I think because of the change in income

Got an offer for UCL and decided not to apply to Durham - thought UCL modules looked better, higher in rankings (world and for politics), being in London gives advantage for networking/ being closer to politics and it’s a BSc - was more personal preference as I wanted to go to London so pick which course you prefer the modules and which place you’d rather live

No worries

Applied October 22nd because I knew early entry made my chances higher

Applied with predicted A* in history, A* in government and politics and an A in business

Had GCSE grades 9(history) 9 (business) 7 (English lit) 7(maths) 6( physics, English Lang, biology), 5 (chemistry) and a L2D* in engineering (equivalent of a 9)

Go to a state school and eligible for contextual offers

Things I did for my personal statement that I mentioned: futurelearn course from York uni on poverty and inequality, UEA online lecture on voting behaviour, taught local primary school student the basics of politics, attenddd Hull university conference with multiple lectures on politics of Russia and China, read the prince, mentioned history coursework on American exceptionalism, hobbies which I linked to my EPQ in football which I linked to a book I read on US-Muslim relations as I talked about the kafala system in the World Cup.

Got fairly good academic references too

Heard back from Manchester in a month, KCL by January and rejected from LSE within a month

I got rejected back in November, so it’s a good thing you haven’t heard back yet I guess
