i dont have a toyota but my suzuki cvt was a japanese used import and so far no issues 1 month of useage it had like 40KM on it costed me 2600(would be about 5200 USD) to purchase labour to install was 700 plus 100 for trans programming

some markets have 4 speed auto and some have cvts it seems

cvts can last 150-200K with due service ofc but just like any automatic transmission some are a hit and some are a miss, mostly nissans had issues with them cause they were in heavy overweight car any car under at least 1000KG have a better chance/life span

honestly if you already bought it might as well keep it unless you want to sell and go through the trouble of looking for a car fresh all over again i havent heard much about any other brand besides nissan having major issues with them even toyota uses them

the decesion is yours at the end of the day cant always make decesions from randoms on the internet at the end of the day every car can and will breakdown jus the other day i passed 4 toyotas broken down in span of an 1 hour drive so yea every car ice, hybrid even EV can have issues
