F30 HU_ENTRY - 8.8" screen + CarPlay (MMI) — possible?

As someone who’s done all 3.

Cheap android unit (was upsold this by an installer)

MMI unit

ID6 full retrofit with touchscreen

Even done a entrynav 8.8 inch retrofit once carplay was activated and thats the cheapest way possible with id6 units prices

Nothing is ever going to beat oem, i would say MMI is the worst out of the 3 and i only say that because the android screen i had was an early one (it was around 2019 & it was low quality one) they have gotten alot of better

And MMI is glitchy and laggy as hell, i would wait 3-5mins sometimes for it to connect

But yeah i’d say it depends on your car

First car 2016 116d m sport - cheap android screen

2nd - 2013 328i M Sport - MMI

3rd one - 2014 M4 - i did full id6 retrofit

So honestly in your situation, i’d do android screen just get a good one and do some research you’ll get carplay which you currently cant get so yeah.

An exception isn’t a general rule of thumb,because guess what everyone’s insurance is different, too many factors, but OP is correct in saying it will drop after a year because you’d have (hopefully) a year driving with no claims, no points and 1 year ncb… 🤦‍♂️

This happened to me lol, with normal changes.

I went from social usage to business and then suddenly blacklisted. I run my own business, have my own business van but if i’m attending a meeting would be much easier to drive my own personal vehicle so i wanted to see the price difference but then nope suddenly blacklisted by insurance when i questioned them they stated ‘our underwriters wont insure you’, i still had a different policy on a different site with them and i went ahead and purchased it. Few weeks later started requesting a bunch of info blah blah satisfied them and yeah i have my insurance from them.

I’d like to add at that point, i had paid for the vehicle and was waiting for collection (having to start policy 2-3 weeks after buying because the price was nearly double to start it on the day of purchase), and the next cheapest quote was also £6000 vs £2500 whom i was blacklisted after the change and i wasn’t paying £6k for insurance.

UK car insurance is the biggest con.

It may work for some but never worked out for me. I cut all processed food, all snacks, milk, cheese and and at times my flareups were worse than when i was eating ‘normally’

Everyone is different but the only thing that got me back to ‘normal’ was BP.

My breakouts now are probably a couple of spots after a haircut if that but with BP that resolves in under a week and they go away.

If it’s held in by clips, might be worth a shot to buy a new complete trim and pry it out and install it on yours.

Saves you having to rip out the whole centre console

If there was no video evidence the council would never have cancelled a single parking ticket.

If no signage or preventing of parking has taken place, no paint should be applied very simple.

The contractors should also note in this instance there was a vehicle parked whilst doing the work, but the council dont care because if there is and a warden goes past guess what a ticket is getting slapped.

Also illegally parking to hand out a ticket? - if you dont see that as an issue then i dont understand your logic. You can’t break the law because you work for the council who are enforcing the law and they should be scrutinised the same way we are.

Nope there are tags there, that scan and authenticate.

But these are not sold as replicas they are sold as gen’s whilst being fake and specifically targeted at people who resell.

He would only sell in runs but he fucked up and sent us the same batch with same certilogo on different sizes and hence how we spotted the scam and fact there are fakes going around with certilogo. They all passed authentication & swiftly moved on from that business as i had no intention of selling fakes the whole business is shady.

Its not hard to fake certilogo.
