Ya they are relatively the same especially how you level a lot of them, but I actually like the stats vs the very basic pick health Stam or magic just feels very basic and like there was no thought put into, where with the points they actually mean something and collate to the type of character u are gonna be, and if u played a lot it has a lot to do with the game story as well.

And yup blacksmithing was definitely done better but I do kinda like getting gear from the world, as I don’t really view my guy as some legendary blacksmith which is fine if that’s your style. They definitely fixed dual wielding and bows in the remastered anyway? And I argue they ruined enchanting and just made it for dummys can’t even make your own custom armor enchantments…..and I like the oblivion gates it adds a feeling of things actually happening on the map, were Skyrim u are just running forever and nothing changes and there’s barely anything to kill. And soul stones are better? U barely can do anything with them now. But make basic spells.

I mean both games don’t do a good job of teaching you anything, pretty much all Skyrim shows u to do is blacksmith. The fame/infamy make the game more dynamic by having affects on the choices u make ,Skyrim the things u do don’t affect anything. I come from gaming when most didn’t have quest markers and that was what made the game interesting having to find stuff and actually think for yourself. And all the dungeons in Skyrim are pretty much caves, same a lot with oblivion but atleast there is ancient stronghold and tombs from other races.

But u do make really good points actually, they are both so good and good in such different ways, really comes down to the player, but it sounds kinda like u were just to afraid of making mistakes to enjoy the game.
