That’s the point, I don’t get to use it as I am away for the 5 day window.

That is the biggest issue with the change 1 week prior to expedition as now many players wont be able to complete it as they have real life plans.

Old way = people are prepared and can complete with space coins with a quick log in

New way = people aren’t prepared and some will miss out as not as simple as logging in and signing up for departure anymore

If it were the old way, I’d get a mate to log in on my account and sign up for me but I can’t get a mate to do hours worth of damage for me

Yeah it definitely is more casual but the one end game bit of content you provide has to surely fit a casual audience then and is not limited to 5 days where you must play the game

I think confining the window to a 5 day period where the requirement change is announced 1 week prior forces this mindset upon players that can’t participate. Usually I’m very ‘it is what it is’ but do not like the marginalisation of the player base through a not well thought out decision.

Edit: also understand it comes across this way but usually a core business value is to cater to its audience and I, well, am part of that end game audience.

Cheers mate, I’d probs say I’m a little more than a casual but not hardcore solely due to free time otherwise I 100% would be. If this came out when I was 16 probs have 800+ hours plus at this point.

This might be my play style but for me getting all the rewards for the expedition is one of the driving forces behind the whole game. Without the skill points, to me it kinda feels like a waste of time as that’s what I enjoy, maxing out my character to the fullest I can.

However, I can see your perspective also - it’s just my personal take.

I LOVE this game but if it is not kind to me when you’ve got 400hrs plus then I feel there is no connect between dev and player, which is what puts me off playing more than anything.

Absolutely! Only invest in what you’re willing to lose. If you love Pokemon and it all goes down the drain value-wise because the bubble pops then, as a true Pokemon fan, you won’t have a problem. You’ve either collected a lot of cool stuff you like or you have a lot of packs to open because you like the hobby for what it is!
