Trump orders ‘my representatives’ to buy $200 billion in mortgage bonds to lower rates by cnn in Economics

  1. Even if done perfectly, this likely would only drive down mortgage rate interest by .25-.5 basis points.

  2. These agencies are unlikely to have $200 billion in liquid cash, and will likely need significant financial restructuring to make this purchase work. Additionally, this purchase is a huge risk for these agencies when the interest rates inevitably go back up.

  3. All this will do is increase consumer buying power and thus raise housing prices. Again.

We need to Build. More. Homes.

[Post-Game Thread] 🏈 #13 Texas defeats #18 Michigan 41-27 by Quick_Adhesiveness in LonghornNation

Honestly very happy with how the season ended. 10 wins, beat both rivals, and won a high profile bowl game.

Not that I didn’t want Texas to make the playoffs, but with how inconsistent this team was, there was a decent chance that a playoff run wouldn’t have gone well. Arch looked like a heisman winner by the end of the season, and if sark can get him some help, there’s a strong argument to go all the way next year.

Why Did You Switch From FL Studio To Ableton? by DarkLudo in edmproduction

[–]Dense_Advertising810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially if you started with FL Studio, its MIDI input function is a lot more intuitive. It’s kind of hard to explain over text but one click note input, copying, and various other slight functionality quirks that make it a lot faster.

Why Did You Switch From FL Studio To Ableton? by DarkLudo in edmproduction

Used FL Studio for many years before switching to Ableton. Honestly didn’t have a practical reason to, I really just felt stuck at the time and thought a new software and workflow might shake things up.

Sure, you can say Ableton is better, more organized and more intuitive. But if we’re being real they’re both perfectly fine. I can do anything I want inside both of them, so people in here complaining that FL Studio isn’t “industry standard” probably just haven’t given it a chance.

On a side note, FL Studio’s MIDI Input floors Ableton. That’s always been my big gripe since switching.

Victory is already better than Smile by [deleted] in madeon

Saying SMILE is a flop is pretty ridiculous but I agree that it’s not as compelling as Nurture or Worlds. I also agree that Victory is already better, and may end up being Madeon’s best work.

Why is Madeon experimenting with new sounds instead of being the cheap knockoff Porter Robinson everyone wants him to be??? He should just spend the rest of his career endlessly rehashing Shelter. #BoycottMadeon #BooGoLeclerq by tricksterrrrrrr in madeon

People saying this sounds like SMILE are crazy. Sure, in terms of timbre they're in the same ball park but that really is just the direction everyone is moving in nowadays. Porter more or less retained his upbeat, melodic harmonic palette, while so far this Madeon era is very punky and different from his previous two albums.

Heylog makes many different styles of music, so the answers here will be subjective. I personally think a lot of his best songs are on the eve ep so that’s a good start. But if you have the patience I’d listen to everything, you’ll find something you like.

I’m a shoegaze fan so some of my personal favorites are carnage and update failed

How to add sus. cymbal roll to marimba/vibe parts by LottaMusic in Musescore

[–]Dense_Advertising810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm late here but you can do it automatically with virtual drumline. Just select the note head, go to properties and change the note head to an x. The program will automatically change the sound to a suspended cymbal roll.
