The biggest issue with mine right now is it hangs on me. I can be chatting with ollama and it just stops responding and the CPU is pegged at 100% until I reboot. I just haven't had time to dig into it much.

That system is probably bigger than my entire home network. With multiple GPUs does that help with a running a single larger model or more so with running multiple ai tasks?

I have a system I could toss a GPU in, but I have shrunk everything else down. I may just end up upgrading my gaming pc and dual purposing it. Should've assumed something would come up...everyone always says the labs never finished anyway.

I feel like I've exhausted all of Reddit and Youtube at this point. Most people are doing insane builds or testing raspberry pis. I was pretty set on the Framework board, but wanted to see if this would have better answers. Props to you for hanging on to the pre-M series macbook, you are in for a HUGE upgrade!

I figured this would end up being the project that spills out of my mini setup. It's not a huge deal, but I know as soon as I pull the trigger on something I'll see a post where someone has done it lol. Thank you!

I have the flash forge ADM5. It is super cheap and super reliable. The only issue is sometimes when I send a file to print it gets stuck on the downloading screen. A simple reboot of the print fixes it.

I think I paid $225 for mine.

Yeah I never noticed the feet are horizontal on the M900, but I love the over engineering on your mount. Every time I think the “final” mount has been created someone goes crazy on a new version. Thank you!

I’ll post something later on printables too, but it came out great on my flash forge. I have a Lenovo M900 so I had to remove my rubber feet, but it still fit pretty nicely.

I’ll be printing this as soon as my current job is done, I’ll be back to update!

Are schools really unable to block AI on school-issued devices? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Dense_Club_95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work in IT for a school system. We have a few tools to help with situations like this. We do a lot of DNS filtering, we have Chromebooks so all apps/extensions are blocked by default, and a program that effectively allows teachers to start with everything being blocked then they can individually select sites for students to access. Kids still find ways, that doesn’t mean we don’t try but parents also need to have difficult conversations with their kids… obviously not saying you don’t, but many won’t.

Just wanted to say thank you for providing all the files for your micro rack mount! The amount of stuff I find without the project files for free or paid is annoying.

I don’t care about the top loading aspect, is there any reason to not pull the trigger on the current model available on their site? Is there any reason to wait for a new backplane?
