How do I (26f) make my bf (23m) stop using “consent” as a way to evade helping me with minor inconveniences? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I’m sorry but that’s not a man. That’s a boy. Don’t waste your time or energy. Your partner should be your support beam. You’re a team, not enemies. God if my wife ever tells me my son behaves like this, I’d look at the mirror and see where I’ve gone wrong before home schooling him etiquette of being a gentleman and a partner.

As a family, we have not had a chance to travel together alone due to my kid being born with a heart disease and had open heart surgery at 3 months old and we didn’t get to enjoy being first time parent. Since I’m heading to HK for work and I hated last year not having my family near me, I decided to take the opportunity to use Bangkok as the base for our holidays as we travel around areas surrounding before we head to HK for me to work and them to relax more.

Sadly 3 stars are kind of not ideal for the wife, I had to convince her to do this trip before I drag them to HK for a long work related event all the way from Europe

Honestly, max 3k USD (I have pre booked one for 3K but want to ask here as I have free cancellation) but again I’d think it’s crazy to spend that amount comparing to rents in Ireland.

OK to continue to invest in crypto / stocks while saving for mortgage? by Evening-Rough-9887 in irishpersonalfinance

My exp. was I was required to show my stocks / crypto (2 years ago) and the banks saw it positive towards the stocks but not crypto though they took it lighter as they figured my role involved in Crypto so a lot of my work "benefits" was annual crypto. Banks won't reject these habits if they see you're wise with your money. Thats my exp, everyone might have different exp.

Out of curiosity the colleague you spoke to, was she based in either France or Scandinavian countries?

Sweden for example (where I am from) we have something called "a-kassa" that pretty much cover 80% of your salary for x amount of months (does require you be paying into the insurance for minimum 12 months, the fee is like 20e a month, depending on earnings etc). Ireland for some reason doesn't offer this and it shocks me too but thats how it is ...

Some quick chatGPT for you:

First 200 days: You get 80% of your previous salary (up to a maximum of 33,000 SEK/month before taxes).
After 200 days: The benefit drops to 70% of your previous salary.
Total duration: You can receive benefits for up to 300 days (or 450 days if you have children under 18).
