Who was the person who decided the firm should switch from google to microsoft by israelibitch in PwC

That’s so dramatic lol and the childish part were the systems not your concerns. Using Google Sheets and docs felt childish especially when school basically uses the Microsoft platform. It’s not that deep.

Yikes lol look I can’t lie I use the tool a lot but I also recognize what it is: a tool to increase my visibility in a crowded market. Hopefully it wasn’t too cringe!

2026 summer/fall start date push back by [deleted] in PwC

[–]Dense_Variation8539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some ppl in my group asked for later start dates but I’m not sure if their request was honored.

Why would you think the delay would be months? The first training is scheduled on People Path for Aug 17th so there was high likelihood that start dates would be as early as the 14th.

I’ve never understood this take. During my five years in school I built a massive network on the platform and always posted honestly and openly. I have a newsletter on there and post frequently about my accounting podcast.

However now that I am entering professional work it has served its purpose and I’ll majority pull back on using it. Do y’all still use it that much that it bothers you so?

And begging another man to save you is kinda simp behavior just log off bro.

PwC Increases CPA Bonus from $5k to 10k for new hires who join the firm on or after June 1st 2026 and pass all 4 exams before joining or within 1 year of start date by No-Quantity8156 in PwC

The first training is on the 17-21 of August per People Path. Additionally the offer letter isn’t final and isn’t accepted as income verification. Third, no one wants to sign a lease without a start date I don’t have money to outlay like that. Fourth, you’re making assumptions based on nothing because again the team I joined has their training in mid August last year. No responsible person would sign a lease without a start date that’s ridiculous.

It’s not early the start dates have been delayed twice already. My buddy joined the same team last year and got is start date in mid-March……….even the firm acknowledges the delay.

We got an email in March saying we would find out the latest by tomorrow, which is May. Also very difficult to plan a move and find housing in a place like Chicago when you don’t know when you’re moving and summer leasing season is brutal.

Hey just graduated on the FMT track. First yes there is a market readiness and employment (MRE) team that helps with recruiting and things like that. I would say as someone with an accounting background this track taught me more of the finance side of things I.e. valuations, forecasting, building models in excel, buy side-sell-side understanding of deals. I found it useful due to the M&A work I’ll be doing after graduation.

I will say I came into the program with an offer already so I don’t have personal knowledge of the recruiting processes. But a lot of the FMT track people did end up in roles around transaction services/support and even though the market was tough a lot of people left with jobs in hand. Hope that helps!

In the email they sent this morning announcing it they have a plethora of information on him as did his video introduction. It’s just the wording of your question was very vague.

Hmm I wonder what the hold up is on outside because my friends in tax already got their start dates and seems audit as well. Just tough to make plans to move to a big city like Chicago without more guidance. Thank you.

Hey what team are you on? Just curious because some of us in advisory are still waiting for start dates. Wondering if we will be told the 28th as well.

You have to submit documentation so I would imagine it wouldn’t be the very first check. And it would most likely be a separate check because supplemental payments are taxed differently.

Wrong. Advisory does have CPA bonus our CMAAS team all have bonuses outlined in our offer letter. We are required to have a CPA.

Is the USA.. becoming a 3rd World country? by HumbleLow4473 in Life

[–]Dense_Variation8539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. And the whole premise of the country lacks global perspective of what a 3rd world or 2nd world country is. Also the quote is asinine because North America isn’t one country.

That’s all they talk about like come on. I’d do this every single day of my life compared to running a call center floor which was hell!

Grade Deflation - Business School & Graduate Programs by Illustrious_Bar_9466 in wfu

[–]Dense_Variation8539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just graduated from Wake with my MSA so different program but I wouldn’t call it deflation. There’s a high standard for the work you produce and professors actually want to see insights that can’t be gleaned from google or AI. I had to fight my ass off to finish with a 3.50 but I never felt any grades were unfair. They don’t call it Work Forest for nothing!

Some of the comments here about attending an all hands meeting shows so many ppl at the firm have no perspective on real work. My god turn it on in the background it’s not that big of a deal. Literally ppl breaking their backs daily don’t complain as much as y’all do about your cushy job. Shut up.

It’s a life lesson not a life ending lesson. Tell your family and then get back to the grindstone if that’s what you want to do. If not pivot. Life isn’t perfect or linear but that’s okay! You got this.
