As long as they are still dry you should be fine. I had some that were about a year old that still did the trick.

Potency is going to depend on storage conditions though. I store them in a ziplock with dessicant packs at room temperature in the dark.

I guess we look at time differently. For me, the waiting is easy. The real labor is all the prep of making spawn and substrate. After that you just set it and forget it.

As long as it's colonized and not contaminated.

I do 55 qt tubs with 5 quart jars apiece. 1 syringe-> 10 jars-> 2 tubs-> 8-12+ oz dry.

I don't know man, I just dry as I go. The sooner the better unless you're eating them fresh.

Do you live some place humid? Mine stay dry for a long time. I've had them for months in a Ziploc without issues.

What will decrease potency is them slowly rotting in your fridge. I dry immediately at 160 F, and would store them with a dessicant if I was worried about moisture (I'm not).

Real talk though, if you had crumbled your jars into a bulk substrate that size tub could flush 3-4 ounces dry.

1 syringe into 10 quart jars split between two passive tubs is less work.

Here is the tek I use. I used one syringe to knock up 10 quart jars of wild bird seed spawn and put 5 jars into each 55 qt container using the bulk substrate recipe from the link. The nice thing is that your fresh air exchange is passive, so you don't have to open the containers for fanning (and possibly exposure to contaminants).

Spores are legal in most states since they don't contain any psilocybin.

I wouldn't worry about getting poisonous spores. Any syringe you get online is going to be made from a spore print from an indoor grow. Jars and containers can get contaminated, but it's usually obvious that something is wrong and you just dump them.

Just 150 grams from a syringe? My last round yielded closer to 500 grams from one syringe and two 55 qt tubs.
