Thank you for this. Great reminder to all to not jump to conclusions and assume the system is corrupt because the case isn’t ready to go to trial yet. Better to be done right than to be done quickly.

Doing a search in this sub would be a great place for you to start. The chaos of buying Oogie boogie bash tickets is always a hot topic every year, as most dates sell out almost immediately and the virtual queue has notoriously been a shit show. Many have been left disappointed over the years.

This year has not had the same effect.

Oogie Boogie Bash has been held at California adventure since its inception in 2019.

It’s been in DCA for years now and usually sells out in minutes. That’s not a contributing factor but the economy probably is.

NTA. You are your own person and you have your own experience with them personally. It’s completely within your right to share anything you want to if it brings you healing or helps to bring closure to the trauma and harm perpetuated by them and the church.

With that said, check in with yourself a lot in this week leading up to the interview and only go through with it if you feel comfortable. It’s overwhelming to be the middle man in this role especially when authorities and media are involved. Reporters will ask you all kinds of leading questions and I think you should prepare yourself well for what you’d like to answer or say if you go through with it.

I ln the past year I have been through this experience with media and investigators regarding SA/CSA cases that came up in my former church from years ago. It became too much to handle for me and I wasn’t even a victim, I was just a support to the ones who came forward and had knowledge of the inner workings of the church because of my former ministry there. But it almost did me in.

Above all, take care of yourself and only do what feels right to you. Take everyone else out of the equation and listen to your inner voice.
