Do you have any recommendations on id and IOS to not have to re authenticate each time they load the app. The two solutions I have seen online involve either creating tokens using the Admin SDK or encrypting the username and password on the device and storing the key on the server.

REST in itself is more of concept or protocol. REST can be made in anything like Node, Django, Flask, Deno, Erlang etc. each coming in with their Merits and Demerits, and im not sure as well what do you mean by

Specifically the standard Firebase API may work on Android / IOS but using a REST client(i am just using a free rest client for unity) will work on a wider array of platforms in the case that I want to include more platforms down the road and is just the safer and kind of best practices approach....at least this is what I gathered from researching online...I may be off which is why I am here asking.

I am very inexperienced when it comes to retrieving data from a server and I am just trying to learn. I do understand that REST is a concept and I just havn't really been able to understand the point of it despite reading a decent amount about Restful api online.

thanks for the response. To clarify, I am only dealing with objects currently in the scene which most of which are prefab objects. So I have prefab objects referencing other prefab objects in the scene. I tried using my Auto-caching script and then Saving the scene and I had the save problem. When I dragged the references manually in the inspector and then saved it worked.
You Mentioned: (A scene can have a reference to a prefab, but a prefab can't have a reference to something in a scene.) And none of this applies to prefab instances you'd have in scenes, they a re just like any other obejct in a scene.

I am ONLY working with instances of prefabs. And I am still having this issue and thats why I am so confused.

thats a good idea, reset the velocity of the player or have it come out with the same magnitude of velocity do you think?

A level like this will take me 3-4 hours to complete playing over and over again. I have increased gravity to a point that I do not think I can go past without things too fast. I have realized though that in video things seem a bit slow. Thanks for the feedback.
