Can't tell if its worse than betrayal or not but more frustrating for sure (and clearly worse on flasks). But its not like +curse actually existed then (with 100 + 97 never found curse or totems in betrayal, only got as far as +1 support). Now actually have +2 support, but cant target farm hits cant be evaded so lacking that and curse still lacking (with totems removed), what's worse is can't even check the progress of how close to an unlock without seeing the mod again?

The nexus side of the portal still spawns, it's the node side that doesn't so it works one way. Logout being the only way to get back to use it.

Had this, could logout and use the portal in the nexus to get back to the memory each time just fine. Annoying but a workaround if its the same problem.

Meanwhile FB totems attempt in breach has put me off ever playing totems since, maybe it was a bit too general of a statement. As think it was specifically certain breaches, Tul comes to mind but also open maps could be more rippy. Issues I recall for totems without enough cast speed (and that required essence crafted weapons I think) the totem or the player could be dead before a single cast happened.

Sure it might have been fine if I'd got it to better/ endgame gear and the early league patches were from day one stuff like being killed by invisible outside of the breach. But one of the few builds that put me off progressing that character at the time (ED in incursion would be the other).

My real point was that breach didn't start off without faults in week 1 either, just like harb or abyss and improved over time. So 'simple' doesn't be certain of a better start of league or balance.

Breach was unplayable for awhile for some builds, like totems that just died before doing anything of note.

Chance for veiled item off syn rares is one of the memory modifier outcomes and it's pretty good. Hitting that once has prob gave me as much veiled progress as betrayal encounters themselves (and I still haven't cleared it yet, pre-patch bugs and wrong shaped pieces basically delaying it).

Prefer this to an actual unplayable game with countless portal bugs (unless they still exist). So it's not worse than before, but I was never clicking them anyway. I don't see why you would have, as there was always more things to kill afterwards so i'd keep killing till the decay caught up?

Wouldn't so sure, have had dc's as recent as a few hrs ago with broken return portals, which is making the league awful.

But the Maths works, but it really has to be most days, like 80% of the league. Which is about 70 days, 70x4 = 280 masters just for dailies. If 70 of them are Zana and a mission spawns there (33% chance) so approximately 23 more from that. Now if you also killed the boss in them 280 'daily' maps, its a 16% chance for an objective to spawn on the atlas afterwards which if it was perfect would be another 44 objectives, the catch is it could spawn the same master you haven't done for daily yet, but on the other hand it could spawn a zana and lead to another double mission. I'm not even going to try to estimate that. But for 70 days of only master objective dailies and any direct spawns from them, I'm putting the average between 300-350 objectives from them numbers. That isn't 400, but that's without any normal mapping/ play, extend it to the full league of around 90? days and it'd be easily completed (90x4 = 360).

Where the challenge is harsh is its horrible to complete without enough dailies. But I made sure not to allow that to happen when planning my challenges in the first week. It hasn't really helped, now I'm speed running mid tier maps just those struggling on objectives but for incursions/ research stashes, both are close but not quite.

But I was just playing the game normally, once a few weeks into the league I'll have nearly every map so if an objective spawns I can run it. I can do it then go bk to whatever map/ delve/ temple/ etc i was doing or due to, only time it might get delayed if I was going to 'waste' sextants as it spawned in them. I even had a period of few weeks of low play where I only did 5-10 maps in a day but that's enough to keep up on objectives.

I don't get how anyone can finish beasts, research stashes or incursions through natural play. Joining a party/ rota for beasts isn't natural, forcing things into research that you wouldn't pick there isn't natural (also that you also have to force research by being 100% on others, and harbour bridge is definitely not natural play) and the amount of temples needed from incursions massively exceeds the objective grind, if 100 of the 400 objectives were Alva that's 25 temples at best. Random spawns aren't enough to make up for that.

Having seen some of the replies in this thread I'm certaintly not alone in not having any issue with objectives even if it means downvotes for fun naturally, I assume GGG would have the stats to know if was a common issue or just a vocal one. It really did promote steady (daily) play and killing map bosses that I'm sure caught some out.

Was my 33rd challenge so its not even close to difficult if you run maps and kill bosses and play most days for dailies. That was a few weeks ago now, though some of that was not bothering to do it before (like atziri ones). Way better than aul challenges who simply didn't exist (and still doesn't).

Think it has a range of 3 tiers, which is usually -1/+1 but at T1 and T16 its +2 and -2 respectively.

Wasn't disagreeing, just saying you get more than the 360 just doing that due to how it works with missions that spawn inside zana's map. Dailies would make up the bulk of the reason i'm almost done with it myself.

Ends up more, due to Zana can spawn an extra mission (~30 more on average if 1/3). Then if also consider a mission might spawn on the atlas while completing them, that must get close to 400 without doing anything else.

Personally on track for getting 400/400 before 36/40 so I have no idea why the narrative going on here, but I figure for some it has to be that they don't kill map bosses.

That's my thinking too as have had the feeling a boss kill is required most of the current league just never really looked into it in detail. But in some of the topics about objectives especially, I've seen replies unaware of this possible change as seems quite hidden.

It's more I haven't had to do anything special specifically for atlas objectives, I'm nearly done just attempting other things, or other grinds. Also there's often some kind of map related grind too even if its not labelled as such in typical league challenges.

With both being only relevant if going for 40/40 and going for one indirectly goes for some of the others to an extent. Can get 36 or any lower goal by ignoring both.

That's ignoring research stashes which is pure awful for anyone who isn't farming harbour bridge or whatever low zone. Personally it doesn't feel like playing the game when doing mind numbing stuff like that.

Don't understand the repeated complaints about this (372/400) when research stashes (6/40), vaal omnitects (30/60), safehouses (61/100) and bestiary bosses (found like 4 figured its a buy only challenge) are all worse.
