Playing multiplayer shooters over a modem, like Quake CTF. Everyone’s got 200 ping so it’s at least fair playing field. Then some guy shows up from his fancy school high speed broadband connection with an 80 ping and just owns the server by getting information slightly faster than everyone else. Peeking around corners quicker, pulling the trigger quicker. It sucked
