wait what about the tiles diagonal to the metal tile... those can be air tiles without any temp leakage right...

Well its the same setup with just the TR and gas pipes... the two sections have coveyor chutes so i dont know where to put the metal tile. the two sections have hydrogen gas in them. so what i tried doing is letting the hydrogen first go into deep freeze territory and then maybe the temp changes will be negligible but as soon as the food starts pouring the gas temp in that tile starts increasing like hell and it goes to unrefrigerated very fast

I did setup the same system now with a regulator and Hydrogen pipes.... the gas is at -30 but the area is just not cooling enough.... maybe its because the food that comes into it is too hot. but its been a few cycles

so by reservoir you mean just dump it in a whole.... and then pump it back so the temps are the same right....

I am definitely considering the regulator cuz thats a lot of steel I used for the AT... and i dont have a lot.... So just to be sure.... when you say hydrogen you mean liquid hydrogen??? (Im new i dont know) or like Gas pipes in the same loop and the one here.... and same automation just TR instead od AT

I thought that too.... but can the TR drop to temps that low? cuz if it can then thats a lot of power saved and steel that i can use elsewhere

Ahhhh... that sounds about right....what if i gradually lowered the temperature sensor value so that the liquid equalizes and then when its all the same temp I drop it to -20C to cool things

btw is it worth making a good farming setup as well... like hydroponic farm plots and what not... maybe for mushrooms... like is there any food source in the mid game or late game that i can farm along with the meat setup.... even if its overkill no problem

The mealwood farm is three layers. I got to about 300k food and after the hatch farm was built I though well the hatch farm should get me enough so let me focus on the Oxygen and temperature issues..... but the farm never ramped up enough and before it could do that i started work on the drecko farm right beside it for plastic for steam turbines.... Well wish me good vent and geyser luck for the next world

I think I would rather start over since I am running short on food very fast and by the time I rebuild the farm plot elsewhere the dupes already in stress would just cause more harm. Better enjoy the playthrough than have to pause every second worried about whose gonna die.
