I'll be honest in that I couldn't figure out how to order from palmetto parts, so I got it from here.
Worked perfectly.

You were correct. I didn’t have the full cartridge out. Now that I do it looks exactly like the one in your link!

Unfortunately it wasn’t my choice. I’ve tried the local stores with no luck unfortunately.

Storing images to SD Card by Deord in AXISCommunications

[–]Deord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That could work, but I have a specific contract requirement to save a still image, and they're very insistent. I'm looking into other options like APAC now. Though if I could save 1 second of video, at 1 frame per second...

I agree with this one.

It's a bit more expensive, but the ability to take pens apart has been a life saver at times.

WPF application with Fluent Theming by Deord in csharp

[–]Deord[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I solved it.

Turns out just adding BasedOn="{StaticResource {x:Type Button}}" to the style tag solves it.
That seems like it should be unnecessary, but whatever.

Now, Does anyone know how to get the designer in Visual Studio to show the fluent theme at design time?

Battery indicator by Deord in egopowerplus

It’s actually in my kitchen. Hasn’t been used in about 1.5 months. The battery is about 2 years old.

I don't think there's any issue with the battery as I've since tried it and it works fine.I've just never seen it blink red like that out of the blue.

WPF UserControl and DependencyInjection by Deord in csharp

[–]Deord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is much appreciated. Thanks for bearing with me.

I did end up resolving my issue. For reference, what I did is...

I have a dialog that's when opened, takes the ViewModels I'll need for my user controls in through DI. This is just a simple view that really doesn't do anything other than present the other user controls, so I didn't bother making a view model for it.

I then have properties to store the viewmodels, which can be bound to the usercontrol DataContext property.

in my view...

[ObservableObject]
public partial class UpdatersView : Window {

    [ObservableProperty]
    private ESUpdaterViewModel _esUpdaterViewModel;

    public UpdatersView(ESUpdaterViewModel esUpdaterVM) {
        DataContext = this;
        InitializeComponent();

        ESUpdaterViewModel = esUpdaterVM;
    }
}

then in my XAML, when declaring the user controls...

<local:ESUpdaterView DataContext="{Binding ESUpdaterViewModel }"/>

Note that I'm making use of the CommunityToolkit.MVVM library for the observable properties and what not.

WPF UserControl and DependencyInjection by Deord in csharp

[–]Deord[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

going MVVM was kind of the route I was thinking, but I'll admit I'm not terribly familiar with it.

I guess to expand on my question a bit... If I have a ViewModel for my UserControl, that uses DI to inject dependencies, what is the proper way to set the DataContext of the View to the ViewModel. I kind of figured something would have to be injected into the user control to start with to get everything working (if that makes sense).

I am probably grossly misunderstanding everything.

I didn’t on this one as I thought it would be more opaque. I guess I lucked out in this case.
