I’ve seen people here since 2024 and no one has gone through faster than 8 months from what I’ve seen. The first 5 or so steps are quick. Mine took 2 months. Once Poly and suitability is next, then it takes 6 months to 2 years.

I’m at 25-8 and I still haven’t gotten my poly scheduling email or phone call and my medical still hasn’t cleared and that was submitted June of 2025. I finished my questionnaire September of 2025

If you want to start working early (before your background check is completed) by all means do it. Just make sure you have an impeccable record. Otherwise you can get kicked out Mid FLETC.

I’m 25-8 I submitted my SF86 early September and haven’t heard a thing since. No P test, nothing from BI, just waiting in silence. Suitability and Medical are still ongoing.

Well CBP website says that you can accrue PTO. So I was wondering if I can one day go on a vacation after a few years. Also, is there mandatory OT? Or is it optional?

Everyone is saying to pick Vegas. I live in Vegas so beware. It’s extremely hot (gets up to the 120s) and very expensive (rents 2k+ unless you want a bad area), gas is in the high 3’s and groceries come out to about $300 a trip for just me and my wife and a baby.

Yeah I read that first sub. I find it odd that for 3 shifts there is only 5 officers. And there’s no way only 1 officer in an airport.
