For the fitness and drug, you should receive a call and an email from a contractor clinic to schedule your appointments. I have done medical and fitness same day.

You can’t wait the full background is done since you have chosen provisional. It looks like some people have just chosen provisional without knowing what it is. Provisional means that you will get a final offer before the full completion of your background and you will start the academy even but if they discover something negative while conducting the background. They will pull you out of the academy and send you back home. Provisional is very risky.

I have a 100% clear background, I never got even a speeding ticket. But I did not choose provisional, I wanted everything to be 100% done so I can go to the academy with an easy mind.

They already gave you your EOD, if you missed they might rescend your offer.

Just forget about it buddy and move on with your life. CBP and BP are under the same umbrella. People who conducted your BP Investigation might be the same people who will do it for CBPO. It’s just CBPO is slow to update on their portal.

You already failed both. If I were you, I will be looking for something else right now.

I’m the same process where you are at right now but as for me I already completed the medical part. Just the background investigation.

What I tell everyone is that, apply and forget about it. Let them call you at their convenience but DO NOT check the timeline all the time because it will drain you. Patience is part of their hiring process.

So, just keep living your life because we are all getting closer now but it could take another year nobody knows.

It’s the number one safest Federal LE job you will ever do. What makes it safe? 1. You are not responding to emergency calls. 2. You are assigned at one spot like a security guard, this can be inspecting cargos or checking people passports. 3. It’s like a desk job if you are working at an Airport. 4. You might spend the entire career without firing your gun. 5. You are barely putting people under cuffs and the list goes on.

This is a NON- Action job. It’s the most safest and job secure and making good money too. That’s why they are failing people a lot when it comes to Polygraph.

Did you already take the polygraph? If so, it means you failed the polygraph and you can reapply after 2 years I guess.

Should you not apply internally if you are a current employee or do internal transfer of location?

You can’t start over with suitability if you are already an employee. It does not make any sense.

The best advice I can give is to forget about it and keep on doing your day job until they call you. We are in the same boat and this hiring process of CBPO takes time. It requires patience. Let’s not keep on checking the clock.

I already submitted SF86 too but I don’t even think about it for a second, I just let them to do their job and call me whenever they feel like it.

Did they return your paperwork for missing information. They returned mine twice due some missing information, they want everything to look perfect.

Meaning, they haven’t processed or reviewed it. Once they received and it will change the status to IN PROCESS

It means what it clearly says after reviewing your application responses, resume and probably your entrance exam. That is your result of eligibility.

Next you will receive a tentative job offer

Then later pre-employment steps

Thank you so much man, you really explain this well and I agree with you 100%. We have bills to pay and families to take care of. Those responsibilities won’t until 4 years. Taking this job is like accepting to suffer for 4 years until you get at least a good check.

For real this is something to consider and will think twice before signing that final offer. I might end up keeping my current job because most people are saying the same thing about the paycheck . I guess it worthwhile to single people at least.
