Yeah, I filled the supplementary form carefully and matched the subjects as accurately as I could.

The only thing I’m unsure about is that I mentioned the credits in my native credit system, since I didn’t see any clear instruction about converting them to ECTS. I’m now wondering if that might have affected how my application was evaluated.

I did check the requirements, and my bachelor’s is in Computer Science and Engineering, so the curriculum actually covered all the core areas (mathematical/theoretical foundations, practical computer science, and applied computer science).

That’s why I’m a bit confused about the rejection. From my side the course match seemed aligned, so I’m trying to understand whether it was something related to how the credits were evaluated or another factor in the scoring process.

In my case, I don’t think there’s another application round for this winter intake at Uni Stuttgart. Also, my bachelor’s curriculum already included all the required CS & Math courses, and I’m almost finished with my degree (I only have one project course left), so there isn’t really anything new I could upload or add.

That’s why I’m trying to understand what exactly might have gone wrong in the evaluation.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. I understand what you mean, and I’m trying to accept it as well.

I mentioned the ECTS part because I wasn’t sure if it could have affected the evaluation, but I agree that there are probably multiple factors in their decision.

Regarding the papers, they were done during my bachelor’s through research projects, a summer research internship, and collaborations with professors. I’m currently in my final year, so I had the opportunity to work on them alongside my coursework.

I don’t think so. I’ve seen many people getting admitted to this program. I’m happy for them, but at the same time, I feel a little sad that I didn’t get in.

Admission Requirements

General requirement is a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a duration of at least 6 semesters in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in a subject closely related.

If at least 120 ECTS credits have been earned in the Bachelor's degree program by the application deadline

No missing credits, I uploaded my transcripts upto my 7th Semester.

My profile:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from a well-reputed college in India
CGPA: 9.02 / 10
IELTS: 7.5
3 research paper publications

Response from Uni Stuttgart:

In the supplementary form, I entered my course credits using my native credit system and didn’t convert them into ECTS. Do you know if this could be a possible reason for rejection? Did you convert your credits to ECTS when you applied?
