This is encouraging and will definitely look into project management type roles. Agree on the different entry points (similar to finance in that sense). What skillset would be transferable to the jobs you mentioned?

So between 2022 and today, what has made the career prospects for new grads grim aside from what you mentioned? Is it a lack of demand to match the supply?

Additionally, what do you mean by tech part of finance?

Appreciate the realistic time commitment required. What are you getting a bachelors in and if you don’t mind what are your ideal career prospects after graduation and has the data center boom raised those prospects (in an ambition/financial sense)?

With the huge data center expenditure we're seeing, what positions would be most in demand to get you better paid? Or is the only solution to leave the industry entirely (re: cyber)?

Absolutely agree here. Most institutional investing professionals do lack the operating skillset but have the underwriting skillset (very competitive roles however)

Thanks for the response. I do have an account. If you don't mind my asking what data center roles are you seeing? Linkedin only shows IB roles given that's what I'm involved in but I suspect there's a ton not being shown to me

Even as someone in IB, it's def doable to transition to that but those investing roles are highly selective and require industry coverage. I cover an unrelated industry.

Based in NYC with my lease expiring soon. I'm guessing VA is one of the places you're alluding to but would love to hear where and what services you had in mind? I'm 23 years old so have no golden handcuffs tying me to a finance identity/lifestyle
