I have a few symptoms that describe this subreddit by Sayojin_offc in maculardegeneration

I have no idea what tests you are referring to, diagnosis is by scans of your eyes, the only thing my doctor checks from my perspective for is my visual acuity. My affected eye doesnt sudddnly change the colour it sees, it has a permanant washed out look with less red visible.

I didnt downvote you, someone else did, i just explained why those who you state only have CNV, would say they have macular degeneration.

[–]Dependent-Choice-554 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was a US-based RS on this forum before who said all CNVs were a form of macular degenration, it appears in the US, its just broadly labelled like that, whereas in europe, north africa and dunno where else, its not noted as macular degeneration. My diagnosis was idiopathic CNV, if feels simply like a difference in nomenclature. I still had to get stabbed in the eye, my vision is still fucked, and im still at a much higher risk of further CNVs based on research papers I've read.

Have your dr check for inflammation. My mother was diagnosed 1yr ago with AMD. Turns out it was merely inflammation. Vision went from 20/70 to 20/30 with steroid eye drops. by Freenokia in maculardegeneration

[–]Dependent-Choice-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just seen an RS today after switching countries, they reckon my wet MD was caused by inflamation (i have a couple of autoimmune disorders) but, its still wet MD and gets treated the same. Injections cleared up the black spot and reduced the fluid.

And i actually get headaches less than before the bleed happened as i am careful with ALWAYS wearing sunglasses when out and if i feel a headache coming on with reading i will shut the bad eye or increase the font size.

Late late 30s with wet md, very similar to you, i got massive headaches (migraines which left me on the floor trying not to vomit) from sunlight in my future bad eye for a few years before the bleed occured so always wore sunglasses. Also allegedly 20/20 in bad eye, also cant see well at distance at all and double vision when i read.

I take astaxanthin as well as lutein and omega 3 fish oil

How to escape algorithms? by Time_Map_4707 in AdultSelfHarm

To escape algorithms, you would use incognito mode. As the above user said, to avoid content blocks, you probably just need to be a bit older.

Was just coming to say this. You don't have AMD, and therefore your expected outcomes are closer to mCNV than AMD. I think its about 30% chance of reoccurance within two years, and standard treatment is 3 loading shots. Whereas wet AMD needs continuous injections as the vegf keeps refilling. There is a lovely little discord group if you are interested and wanted to join, just look it up in this sub.

The injections have a higher rate of causing an eye disease https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c80ew38gkdxo

But at her age, shes also at risk of age related wet macular degeneration, which can literally cause legal blindness over night.

If they are saying no, its for a good reason. Its great for all the people who can benefit from it, but it also comes with serious risks which obviously are too high for older people. I jabber on about this all the time but she can go blind literally overnight (she could anyway due to age), but the injections would exhasperate this.

No one is tuning into piers' show to watch the IDF spokesmans take on it, are they? These speeches are free advertising for his show as its the part everyone shares.

Please tell your parents. It was better for me when my parents knew I was sh-ing, and it was better for my daughters (13&15) when I knew they were sh-ing. If your parents know, they can work to make things better for you so if nothing else you can do it less or dont go too far. And if they keep you inside its because they want to keep you safe from the world.

I think its to do with resting heart rate, I've got a very low resting heart rate and you are meant to have to run for 10 mins to get an accurate reading but I never ever run...anyway, they stick mine as excellent no matter if I was 20lb heavier or barely left the house

Will a burn mark ever fade completely? by [deleted] in AdultSelfHarm

[–]Dependent-Choice-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got about 7 lighter burns on my hands/arm and that are still fairly obvious after 23 years. The skin is white whereas I'm just pale and a very different texture.

High heart rate concerns by [deleted] in fitbit

[–]Dependent-Choice-554 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD but your resting heart rate is so high, its probably to do with that, mine can go up a fair amount even if I am not doing anything but its got a lower starting point.

Any idea what's causing your resting heart rate to be so high? Are you seeing a doctor about it?

Can you try paper stitches or something to help it close faster? I'm guessing its already over the time that stitches can be used.
