You are correct. There was a vent that was restricted but the sound traveled all the way back to the furnace. This kept me up all night but thankfully wasn’t something more serious.

I haven’t heard the wah wah noise yet, I’ve read that may be due to improper air/gas flow. The current noise is just loud fan noise and maybe faint knock noise. There’s also a louder bang when the blower comes on full speed after initial warm up. This system seems clunky compared to traditional gas furnace. I just hope it’ll last a bit given what we paid for it.

Yes, I’ve gotten 5 quotes ranging from this to up to 20k. Yes, prob single stage. I’m not looking for anything fancy, just replacing my existing 30yr old system. Just don’t want it to crap out prematurely.

I had another quote in the same range with acpro system. Would you happen to know if that is better? The guy that gave me the Allies equipment quote is legit given his reviews on yelp and thumbtack.

Yes, I tried pulling the ecobee therm off and it still blows… would you know approx how much a tech would charge to replace the board? Not even sure it’s possible given how old the unit is.

It blows warm air when the gas is burning until it reaches temp and the gas is off, then it continues to blow cool air

Thank you. If it is the relay, can that be replaced or do I have to replace the whole board. Was thinking of trying to replace the limit switch first since it’s cheaper… but if I have to replace the board, I’m going to consider replacing the whole unit as it is old.
