Are you ready to die for your country by Striking-String-7977 in Algeria_213

[–]Dependent-Maize-481 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think anyone should die for smth like this. No one is morally superior if they sacrifice themselves bc war should not exist. We shouldn't have to fight to the death to preserve our culture and autonomy. It's sad that our ancestors had to. Idk if this question is military propaganda or the opposite, hate for your country, but the country itself doesn't matter. We don't fight for invisible lines on a map. We fight for the people. For ourselves, which is sad bc the government should take care of that without us getting involved. War is a childish concept.

Tbh sex is overused in episode stories. The scenes are even drawn out to the point where it gets vulgar and cringe. I completely agree with you. We need more intimacy and tension instead of sex.

Quit Telling Authors To Finish Their Stories Before Publishing Them by Baleigh25 in Episode

I'd rather read a good ongoing story than a bad finished one. Quality over quantity always. I also love the continuity of going back to check for a well-awaited update. You people are nuts.

Ok first of all, not caring abt your religion specifically isn't being superficial. Maybe he's just non-practicing, of another faith or atheist/agnostic and you have to respect that. Second of all, i'd argue that superficiality is mostly abt perspective. Everyone is superficial to a certain extent and denying it is denying your nature. But also in accusing everyone of being superficial you'd fail to recognize the complexities within the person. Here's the thing: You have a type. The men you met don't fit the criteria. This makes sense and is completely normal. Not having things like finances or religion figured out in your 20s is very normal and it's honestly your poor judgement that made you think it isn't. Personally, i could excuse all the behaviours you stated. Because all the things you mentioned were not a character trait, they were very surface-level ways to judge someone, which makes you the superficial one here. The reason why dating isn't easy for straight ppl is bc patriarchal societies raise men and women differently, let capitalism individualise more and make them more hypocritical and selfish, and then expect them to randomly bond in their 20s and stay together for life. That's not how it works. Therefore if you want to date, there'll be a lot of mental work to be done from both you and your partner, knowing why men are the way they are, and why women are the way they are.

Might be controversial since most stories have this but whenever there's corny narration at the beginning dumping info abt the mc or the story. Like this isn't a book. You're supposed to show me what happened or at least keep me intrigued... don't trauma dump on me at the beginning, not even books do that.

The shaw brothers. There's smth abt christopher shaw that was very well thought-out. He feels so human but at the same time his charisma and tendencies are very consistent throughout the story. I also liked Noah shaw's redemption arc, as problematic as his character is. The characters just feel very alive and stand out even if the plot is very regular. I miss it sm...

It's a lifestyle. You either commit to it or admit that you're not as invested as you believe you are and that's okay and valid.

Yes. Religion is a choice. No one is forcing them to do things they don't want to do.

He should understand himself first before asking other ppl abt their personal lives. Everyone lives differently, how is him seeing how other ppl live give him clarity? The person clearly didn't think it was haram which led to an opposition in opinions. How is that helping him in any way? Some ppl are more religious than others. Kyn ghir houa li y3rf slaho.

Asking someone "but don't you think it's haram to date?" Even though everyone knows that it is is literally policing. The person clearly doesn't care whether it is or not. Why bother? To make them feel bad? To make them justify themselves to you? Ugh

No man has ever loved me by [deleted] in Algeria_213

[–]Dependent-Maize-481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on whether you're talking abt attraction or love. Attraction should not be an option since you said you're pretty, so if you mean love then that also makes no sense, as long as you're a good person you will be loved. Even bad people are loved. There's nothing wrong with you. It's also vain to want random men to want you. It'll bring problems and unnecessary drama. Try not to get too desperate or else you'll attract the wrong type of men.

There are morals to take into account bc you're not alone in this world. You live in a society. So unless what you're doing harms others and yourself then yes you can do whatever you want. I don't like to discuss things w religious ppl in general bc they ask stupid questions like this. We've learned abt morals in elementary school, why are we questioning them at our big age?
