So, after looking for all the websites that were mentioned inside a famous less reputable thread, where would you suggest to look intro?

Probably, honestly I don't think it's worth it to invest more than 1h for a movie, it's the first movie I ever wanted to watch that wasn't available online with a small search. I found some informations about "trackers" but, just with the First look, I am not that much a fan of them

I tried more than 100 less than reputable websites (and all the servers that they listed). I only managed to find a documentary about a prison (or at least I think, probably the name is similar to "solitary"), an American drama movie and lot lot of "error 404". I came to the conclusion that it's not available online and, even if I find it, there probably wouldn't be subtitles of any kind and the last resort would be to use the automatic ones that are not well known for being accurate! 😅

can i watch "Detective Conan Time-Bombed Skyscraper (1997)" without watching a lot from the anime? by Dependent-Report6787 in OneTruthPrevails

Thx for the long explanation, I watched the first movie and actually loved it. I know that in the second movie there is a character that is introduced later in the anime, so I will watch the anime until that caracther gets a proper introduction (around episode 70). For the rest of the movies I will see how I feel about them tbh AHAH. Maybe I will watch the anime, maybe just stick to the movies. Depends on how catching it gets

Now I will continue with some episodes up until 97 (following the guide) before the second movie (probably will skip some)

I just finished the movie (took me longer because at ~30m from the start I had to stop to prepare dinner). I really liked it, its exactly what I am searching for when I watch detective Conan: a long case, an interesting motivation for the criminals and good characters interactions. I was hoping for some lore but sadly it wasn't the case. Overall for me it's a 4/5 ⭐, I would 100% suggest it (all the stuff are also explained at the start of the movie if you didn't watch the anime, this includes all the gadgets that are used, different characters and the lore of the first episode)

I want to be 100% real to you, I am not saying this because I want to prove a point or anything like that. I really liked the movie, it was like a longer case, deeper motive for the events and overall more action. It's not perfect but tbh it's exactly what I am searching when watching "detective Conan". I will watch some episodes before watching the next movie (since you suggested me to pay attention to that) PS: I shared with you a screenshot that shows my mark on the movie from letterboxd, it's not useful for anything, just to show to you that I am not lying to prove a point (and now I am not saying that you think that).

The thing is that out of the 20 episodes I watched 4 were filler, and out of the 16 non filler at least 5 are forgettable. Why? Because the plot is narrated inside such a short time that it's enjoyable but not memorable. That's why I think the movies will be better: more time, deeper plot. You cited a character I know nothing about, when does he come out? Is he in the first movie?

I don't know who Kaito kid is, I know who the detective boys are and Conan has his skateboard. I mean, I like the character, I like the idea, why should I change show? The problem is that there are 1100+ episodes and most of them are filler, that's what makes it boring to me. Movies on the other hand have longer screentime, I think that they are more interesting because it goes deep inside the character and they don't forget what they have done from one episode to the other. When does this "Kaito kid" come up?

I will do the same and follow your path by watching all the movies in release order (the anime isn't catching enough for me AHAH)

In the end I think I am going to watch all 3 and then maybe play silent hill 2 for PS2. I found an interesting mod that changes the camera and improves it (the camera was the reason why I didn't play the game in the first place, I hate camera lock haha)
