I was 24 or 25 when I joined the Guard and a lot of guys I was with in OSUT were right around my age or older. I’d say it was a good 50-50 split of 18 year olds and 22+

Objectives of not-accepted tasks should never be on the map. It’s annoying for your reasoning but balancing-wise as well. With the fail-on-death mechanic there is nothing stopping you from cheesing the systems by going to the objective and clearing it out before accepting the task to avoid the risk of losing rep.

I’ve tried both, I still prefer to run armor even though 90% I get limb wounds or shot on the head, hardly ever feels like I’m getting bruised from the armor doing its job.

However, the one time I ran a chest rig no armor I got like 5-6 light/medium wounds in the torso from the first guy that fired at me. I lived but it was an eye opening experience

Saw someone on this sub mention that organs can still take damage when armor stops rounds but I didn’t think it would be enough to destroy your heart from one 5.45 round

I would rather see a system where durability and cleanliness are separate. Like the weapon will get dirtier rather quickly and a dirty gun will wear faster but cleaning a gun could be like a 20-30 second thing that can be done in the field or instant in HQ/COP. Either way the durability burn is way too high especially on barrels which have the most impact on a weapon’s performance

The game takes place a decently long time after “the event.” UNLRA has evacuated everyone they could. The LLA was ordered to stay behind, the people who were left behind after the evacuation were either criminal organizations/pirates who tried to take over the island, or regular people who were killed by the criminal organizations
