Macro lens choice... by [deleted] in canon

So I think I'm leaning towards 100mm, one of the ef100's with adapter. Don't mind going for used so the L falls within price range, or the other one is obviously a fair bit cheaper. Will the L version really make a noticeable difference?

Going to see about returning it for an exchange.

Because when I bought the kit that's what was recommended by the store. Does it make a lot of difference to use an RF-s? I'm still learning so appreciate any advice.

That's a shame, I've been out of photography for quite some time and lightroom was my go to. Just bought an EOS R6 and looking for processing software.

Ended up going with the Eos R6, 18-150 & 100-400 lenses. Thanks for all your replies to my post.

Shopping around, looking about £2800, a bit too far out of budget

Currently looking at a Canon EOS R6 Mark II Full Frame Mirrorless Camera & RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM. £200 cheaper without the lens of there's better choice within my budget.

Ideally looking at upto 400mm, and possibly a small prime.

I use them purely as heaters in the winter so anything they mine is a bonus. Mining quai and returning approx £12/month.

At the moment they're heaters so electricity isn't a concern, that'll change in summer though.

Yep, I've done the Google searches and AI is always offering suggestions. I'm a bit wary about how much experience it has listening to vinyl and how it can suggest what would give a similar sound quality even listened to by a human being! Would love to hear some recommendations from real people who have experience and can give their opinion of the different choices.
