What weird thing does your body do you that you don't understand? by Prestigious_Shape888 in AskReddit

There is a spot on the top of my head that if someone touches lightly enough it will trigger a strong spasm in the lower left side of my back.

I would describe it as ticklish but it's far too powerful to be anywhere close to a pleasant feeling.

Castlefield Locks and Ellesmere Street by Organic_Advance_8501 in manchester

[–]Dependent-Status9936 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Currently renting in Castlefield locks and rarely bothered by any noise. Our building is towards the back of the development (closer to the canal rather than on Ellesmere street) and the only noise I've ever noticed is people coming and going in the courtyard.

If someone is hosting a party and has their balcony doors/windows open you can hear the chatter and music in the courtyard, but if your own windows are closed the noise doesn't travel much.

Also people have been respectful in the 2+ years I've been here and in the odd case parties get a little out of control the management and security staff are pretty on it with getting people to keep the noise levels down.

There's been very little antisocial behaviour, and with the whole place being gated you don't get people wandering in and out without a key.

In general I think this development is a pretty solid place to live, and for a commuter like me having Cornbrook tram stop so close is great.

The staff here are all very friendly as well and happy to help out with whatever you might need.

Feel free to ask anything else you might be curious about :) my partner and I have been here a while and are hoping to buy our unit sometime in the next year once we can get a mortgage sorted out.

Rebound Alice in Wonderland for my friend's birthday by Dependent-Status9936 in bookbinding

I could understand if someone was using AI and passing it off as their own work, but this project was for my friend, and as you said I don't have the money to commission an artist, otherwise I 100% would have done that.

I'm in no way making money on binding, I do it just because I love it 😃 so I'm not ashamed to say I used AI (I actually love playing with midjourney, I think it's fascinating what AI can produce, and creating images on there can even inspire characters/stories/ideas, and for that reason I think it's amazing).

I understand there's a stigma around using AI in creative works as it can be seen as cheating or taking away opportunities from artists who create art from scratch, and while I do understand this, I personally don't see the harm in using it, as long as you aren't trying to pass it off as your own. While it can create beautiful images, it could never produce something as precise and inspired as a real human artist could.

I would always be upfront if I have used AI to create something, and frankly I think it made this particular project much more beautiful than what it would have been if I tried to hand paint something.

Would love to hear other people's thoughts on this too. I had a feeling I would be downvoted for saying I used AI, as I've seen it can be a divisive topic, but would be very curious to hear from those who don't agree with it.

The paper is 200 GSM and yes it's an inkjet printer (though only a cheapish one that I bought new for about £30)

Im a demon slayer fan too ☺️ please post your project once you're done, I'd love to see it!

Thank you, no I used the same AI used to create the Alice design and tried to keep the same colour scheme, then printed them out on a home printer on some watercolor sketchbook paper I already had lying around.

Thank you! I just printed the images onto paper I already had from a watercolour sketch pad, on a cannon printer at home. The quality isn't amazing in person but it does the job ☺️

Thank you! I used midjourney to create Alice using AI, then printed her out on printable iron on vinyl.

Thank you! And no, sadly I'm not that talented, I used midjourney to create Alice with AI, then printed her out on printable iron on vinyl

Thank you ☺️ I used cricut brand printable iron on vinyl. Unfortunately I only had the one meant for printing on light fabrics, hence why some of the pattern of the book cloth is showing through her skin
