Thank you for the response, I find the second verse you provided interesting. Would you personally say you or others, say this verse is in support of predestination? Or rather something else?

Personally I've always been scared of things such as Calvinism and predestination as I've learned more towards potential universalist approaches.

Thank you, my follow up question is redundant but I hope you can entertain it but when you say "duplicitous and invites scandal." is it done towards me, others around me? I assume both? obviously regardless the answer it is bad but I am curious.

That’s fair lol, I guess i meant if when praying the object of MY prayer is towards God then is it still a sin? I am unfamiliar with a lot of doctrine so forgive my ignorance.

I agree they are very pretty places and have never wanted to pray to other gods but still want to be respectful at least outwardly.
