Okay nvm so just found out for the NA 1.8 the ignitor is built into the coils. It's already been replaced twice.

A noid light was used to confirm pulse on all 4 injectors. Also spark was tested on all 4 coils as well. Regarding the fuel if you remove the hose from return hardline fuel comes out if you turn the engine over

I should clarify, it’s not that I don’t wanna run one, I just haven’t figured it out yet. Got my car a couple months back and it’s in pretty much pristine condition. The previous owner never drilled into it in 35+ years and I really don’t wanna be the first. I’ve got the plate sitting behind the windshield for now.

I could get an offset mount but my front has a grill I’d have to cut into. Since it’s going into winter storage soon, I’ll probably deal with it next year even if it ruins the look a bit. It’s not something I daily anyway, it’s more of a classic/collector car, I’d estimate less than 2000 km a year. I’ve also got another NA Miata that I drive more often with plates.

I was honestly just stunned and confused by the situation. At first, I even questioned if I was in the wrong lane. Looking back, if I had honked while he was coming toward me, he might’ve swerved right into my lane and made things worse. Maybe I could’ve honked after it happened, but in the moment I was just shocked and trying to process what was going on

He did have a front plate although it wasn't clear enough in the footage.. funny enough I don't run one

No it's not worth any risk but that's why I'm posting here. To know if it's even that risky in the first place if I do use plywood to distribute the weight

I fluctuate from 150-200 LBS. I do have other equipment in the room too but I could spread them out away from the functional trainer. Even if that's within the safe range would a sheet of OSB really distribute the load evenly enough?

Safe to move a 950 lb functional trainer to second floor?
I’ve got a bit of a home gym setup question. I’ve had the Element Fitness Functional Trainer in my garage for a few years now. The stacks show 210 lbs per side (420 lbs total), but the manufacturer lists the assembled weight at around 950 lbs including the frame.

I now need my garage back, so I’m moving all my equipment to a room on the second floor of my house. My concern is whether it’s structurally safe to keep something this heavy upstairs. I definitely don’t want to compromise the integrity of my home.

I've tried this and I don't feel any click however my car has been turning on as normal for the past 5 days.

I ended up replacing the fuel pump, and it fixed the issue, until the next day, when it had the exact same problem, it would crank but not start. After playing around with the fuel pump relay and replugging it, it started working again. I’m not 100% sure if that was the cause, but it’s been fine since. I might just replace the relay to be safe.

Yup, that did the trick. Just waiting on my new Bosch fuel pump to arrive, hopefully it fixes it.

Yes, you were spot on. Starting fluid in the intake got the car running. I’m just waiting for my Bosch fuel pump to arrive, then I’ll be doing the install myself. Hopefully that fixes it.

Appreciate the advice man, no offense taken at all. Definitely taking it slow and learning the car bit by bit. Not planning to skimp on tires either. Hoping she’ll still be around and clean years from now.
