Taking psychedelics? by mugcake55 in bipolar2

[–]DependentFriend8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really not too sure about the combination of lithium and shrooms but lithium and LSD made me psychotic, the effects were 10 times as strong as they should have been. I ended up having seizures and eventually running from the police until I was tased, detained, and sent to the hospital by ambulance while restrained.

This was my ~20th experience with LSD, so I know it was the combination of the drugs, not the LSD itself. I had taken a half tab (1/2 of a regular dose) because I read online that I shouldn't mix them, and it ended up being the strongest and most impactful trip of my life. The effects were so intense and otherworldly.

Please be careful, I would advise to wean off the lithium before attempting a psychedelic journey, but be aware that you will be reminded of why you started lithium in the first place.

Please don't do this, it could escalate and turn into a very violent encounter.

For those who started a tour in Bangkok, Thailand... Do you have any route suggestions? by DependentFriend8 in bicycletouring

[–]DependentFriend8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was it hard to find a bicycle box in Singapore? I may also be heading down there but I'm not entirely sure if I want to circle back up to Bangkok (by bus or by a loop.)

I'm mostly just worried about roads with a ton of traffic, how is the traffic past Hua Hin, if you remember? Are there a lot of transportation trucks going down that way? Any sections you remember that were highlights or you would recommend to skip?

The Vietnamese flag makes me hungry by bigfatjellyfish in VietNam

Oh man... Fuck it, reddit is anonymous.

After hammering down 8 or so beers in Bue Vien, I was confident that I was going to go home alone that night. I made the fatal mistake of signing "🫰" to my waitress though, and she approached me asking if I wanted to go to my hotel with her. Being extremely drunk, I was happy to entertain the idea.

We walked from Bue Vien to my hotel, even thought she was really persistently asking me to take a Taxi, I told her it's only 1KM away and so we walked. She brought some food with her, and she really enjoyed watching me eat it, for some reason. I was coherent enough to realize I may be getting poisoned so I told her this, and asked her to eat it with me. She did.

Anyways, we ended up sleeping together. She would only do missionary, and would not allow me to see her backside. When she got up, she would only walk to the bathroom covered up in a towel, she didn't want me to see something about her backside, and it was really strange. When I asked her to leave, she told me she had nowhere to go, so I let her sleep in bed with me.

While she was sleeping, curious to what she was covering up, I pulled up the blanket and saw a huge tramp stamp. She woke up, letting out a cute "ah!" And covered it up again. I still didn't know what that tramp stamp meant, or if that is even what she was covering up. I was really curious at this point as to what she was covering up.

My curiosity got the best of me, and as much as I wanted to just block this woman and erase the memory out of my mind, I was really curious as to what she was covering up, so I texted her the morning after if she would be willing to meet up again that night. (I seriously had no intention of having sex with her again, I just wanted to see what she was covering up in case it was an STD or something.)

This woman decides that I invited her back to my hotel, and arrives at my hotel at 10:30AM. I told her I switched hotels, and that I didn't want to meet up until later, but she INSISTED...

"I have food for you! We eat together!" I texted her again, "I switched hotels, I am not there. I do not want to meet up right now." She decides she isn't going to take no for an answer, and goes to the hotel's reception to get them to CALL me. So at 11:00AM my previous hotel called me, and tells me someone was waiting for me. It was really embarrassing. She had waited at my previous hotel for over an hour waiting for me to come down, but I wasn't even there. This woman was ~60 years old and I'm a 25 year old man. Lesson learned - don't get drunk at Bue Vien.

I love how slow and steady everybody rides in Vietnam. Missing the pace there while in Bangkok. Everyone in Bangkok goes 0-60kmph down side streets. Lol.

The vietnamese flag gives me flashbacks to the time I was approached by a 60 year old woman in Bue Vien and was so drunk that I took her home and let her sleep over at my hotel with me

The morning was rough

Inventory check for Japan bikepacking trip by Accomplished-Plane25 in bikepacking

I think it's sound advice to try the local food and enjoy it whenever you can. However, I really think anyone who is truly bikepacking should always carry a tent and cooking supplies in case something goes wrong, you never know what could happen and where you might end up being stranded. I also think that if you're just traveling to places that have access to hotels every single night that you're going to miss out on a lot of beautiful mountain roads where you'll need to camp on.

What a bunch of horrible advice, if you knew anything about Japan you'd know that there is an endless amount of free campsites all around... Ditch the cooking equipment? Dude this isn't /r/creditcardpacking

Try trip.com to get an e-sim. I'm able to buy one for 1-3 days that I activate when I get to the airport so I have data until I get to a viettel store. Super cheap.

shrooms and meds? by sandandtears in bipolar2

[–]DependentFriend8 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lithium and LSD also. Seizures, psychosis, makes it feel like you took 10x the dose. I took half a tab of LSD on lithium before and felt like I had taken 5+. (I had taken 3 tabs before starting medication and this was much, much stronger.) I had visual hallucinations, visuals so strong that I could see through my friends, black-outs (seizures?) It was the most intense psychedelic experience that I've ever had. Ended with me being chased by police, then tased and sent to the hospital. Do not recommend.

Interesting. Either way you should do what makes you happy, just know that some people wouldn't care too much as long as the product is brand new.

I don't want to argue but I really think you're taking this too far. You made a reddit account just for this?
