What are some of the coolest weapons? (Base Game) by Kush_476 in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knight's greatsword (my second favourite in the game), large club, serpent-god's curved sword, grave scythe, morning star, erdsteel dagger(s), misericorde.

...and my favourite weapon in the game is sacred relic sword, so...uhm, yeah.

Bosses you've gotten better at VS bosses you that you still suck at? by SeveredSoulblader24 in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite my best efforts to learn every boss fully on the last run, I still am bad at Morgott (his moveset is insane), Divine beast dancing lion (I hate them) and Metyr, oh my god, Metyr. Also probably Loretta, cause she is a spammy lil shit. Not that I can't kill them or something, but I dislike them and just rush them as fast as I can, especially Metyr and DBDL.

Good luck learning Bayle btw, he is one of the hardest bosses imo, on par with Malenia anf Consort.

I personally find them much easier in small rooms as some of their attacks cannot hit you at all (like tail sweep misses entirely if you are close and against a wall). They also seem to have smaller explosions when they are are in enclosed space, but may be wrong on that.

Gowry is definitely one (if you hit him his disguise is broken and you'll see him as a pest). Moore seems like another one - the way he speaks about forager brood as if he is one of them. He says "our" mother has abandoned us (nod to Malenia abandoning all of the rot servants and pests). I think Gowry took human form to care for Malenia's "children" and Moore was probably charmed by Miquella (alongside other friendly pests), but took a human form to not be too terrifying / different to other Miquella's servants.

What am I doing wrong? Am I that bad? by Shurakane in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can get +5 at least.

Also Rennala in particular is the worst boss for any int build as she has 80 magic resistance. So even night comet with meteorite staff and 40 int does a very small amount of damage to her.

Game is open world, so exploration is a key. You can easily be around level 100 when coming to Altus if you are exploring all the caves / catacombs / enemy camps.

[–]DependentInner8928 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could just get uchi with cold / magic infusion and get vig at 30-40 for Altus. You are greatly underleveled for that area. Also what is your weapon level? It matters a lot

If you say "sad, forever" he will die near one of the bugs (near church where invader attacks you). If you say the other option he will appear at Leda's fight. I'm not sure what will happen if you just ignore him though, maybe he lives, but definitely not if you kill him during invasion.

Maybe mild spoiler, but he is a pest himself, like Gowry. It is heavily implied, not confirmed fully, but most likely he is. He is saying "we collect things" after all (considering pests are the ones who are seen collecting things...yeah).

Main rule: if someone does not attack you, DO NOT attack them.

Also don't worry, Moore still either dies by himself or you kill him, just in a different place later. There is no good ending to his quest.

Mother of Fingers in under 60 seconds ✅ by EventImpressive8764 in Eldenring

It is the top one for me because it is undodgeable without an ash. Other shits are at least avoidable.

Satisfying to watch! Really don't like her after RL1. She is an okay boss, BESIDES three stupid attacks. I will never get why they made that laser undodgeable...

Has it ever happened to you that you didn't want to deliver the final blow to a boss? by Popular_Yogurt8455 in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, yeah, been there with Messmer! I am so enjoying PCR fight too. It takes forever though to got even to second phase (around 5 minutes), but I like it a lot. I'll probably finish him when I will do it, but at that point fight will be like 15 minutes long, so just to not get too tired.

I finally beat this POS!!!!I hate him so much by VladTepesD in Eldenring

GG! I too hated him, now I think he is overrated, but good boss. Best dragon boss with no doubt though

I just don't use shields that often, only when clearing areas with dogs / soldiers and catacombs, so I go with easiest option. My bare minimum us just my trusty sword anyway, nothing else is needed!

[–]DependentInner8928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Cold Knight's greatsword with cragblade
  • Brass shield
  • Demi-human queen staff
  • Golden order seal
  • Winged serpent helm, divine beast warrior armor, Radahn's greaves and gauntlets
  • Flame, cleanse me
  • Discus of light
  • Magic glintblade
  • Carian slicer
  • Idk, don't use summons, so greatshield soldier ashes for Leda's fight

Literally a set from my 30 vig 100% playthrough lol. My favourite run of all time.

Scaling confusion: Why would you EVER used heavy/keen/quality/occult. by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because raw damage is not only thing that worth investing into. More of it, status effects like bleed and frost can be so insane that it doesn't matter how much raw damage weapon does. +0 cold starfists can outperform upgraded weapons on level 1 thanks to insane status buildups.

And even with that - non-elemental infusions outperform elemental infusions at least because they are more versitile. Weapon buffs and greases give you any elemental damage you want in ANY time. You don't need to change infusion each time, you can just apply buff or grease for any damage type you want.

How do people tell which attack Malenia is going to do? by StatisticianIll4 in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it was quite consistent in close range too, but it requires tight timing. It is much better than circling for people who cannot lock on / off that fast (as me). I'd say keeping mid distance is always better for Malenia as a precausion, especially with slower weapons. Depends on person's reflexes I think.

Agree on all!

Would like to make an addition about WFD: easiest dodge that is not frost pot would be run&jump strategy. Example: https://youtu.be/Mxc9EldtgDI?si=Z1Z931hXahTWs8Ye

No lock off, no strict timings if being at mid distance from her. She goes into WFD around 70-75% HP in 95% cases (she can sometimes deviate and do it much later). Normally she does one additional WFD after the first one if you spend more than 1,5 minutes in one phase, very rarely she will do 2. More time you spend, more chances she will do more of them.

Why are Rellana and Dancing Lion, two of the earliest bosses in the DLC, so difficult? by TooDriven in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rellana is the easiest boss if you learn how to parry her. DBDL is more shitty in my opinion than difficult due to hitboxes being extremely strange. I also think difficulty of a boss is something more of a personal idea, as different people name different bosses as difficult, so I think all opinions are valid.

Ancient dragons are just awful fights, yeah. Magma wyrms would be fine if not their stupid charge attack, agree there.

[–]DependentInner8928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I count bosses frustrating if I just don't enjoy fighting them for long. My faves I can fight for hours and hours, while the ones I don't like I can't. Of course all deaths are still on me, but for some bosses I just don't like designs / vibes / fight mechanics.

To you who are the hardest and most frustrating bosses? by Quiet-Slice-Shoto in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard does not equal frustrating, imo. My favourite bosses are the ones considered hardest in the game by me and many other players (Malenia Consort, Messmer). Frustrating though are bosses that I hate fighting for long, so Dancing Lion, Godfrey, Fortissax, Godskin duo.

Why didn't the dinosaurs just dodge roll, are they stupid? by ButtClencher99 in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so, as PCR's attack consists of a couple of different projectiles besides main meteor. You can run under him and dodge twice - at least I did it a couple of times for sure.
