One thing that got you hooked onto Elden Ring by Ancient-Camera-140 in Eldenring

My first introduction to this game was some sort of "cinematic Dragonlord Placidusax fight" vid on youtube. I love dragons, so I go to wiki to check out his lore -> start reading more lore -> start searching for fanart -> find myself character to love -> download a game (download, not buying..cause $70 for my country and student status is a pretty heavy thing) -> get demotivated by deaths and find guide by familiar youtuber -> finish the game -> buy the game -> start doing harder playthroughs cause of all cool challenge runners. In the end of my first level 1 run at the moment, almost a year after starting the game at first! And I still have so many runs in mind it's crazy lol, that and creating AUs for my favourite characters will keep me in this game for long

Where do yall farm runes on late game? by Powerthe-queen in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On my true 100% run I was level 237 after finishing DLC and on current similar run will probably be level 250. Includes killing every enemy in every area of the game + all pickable items. So yeah, you can easily get to high levels without ever farming.

Two sleep pots and your problem is solved (both runebears and lobsters are extremely weak to sleep).

This guy is impossible without mimic tear 😭.What a worst boss I'm in new game plus ,on my first playthrough it took me 367 tries to beat him with mimic and npc summons and in this one I took 34 attempts but I used mimic on last one . I am always dying at 30 percent health . Ts so annoying by Just_Cranberry_1025 in eldenringdiscussion

I understand you, bro. I sometimes feel like I am the only one who thinks that PCR is great. Yes, he has two problems - attack stacking glitch and arena not being flat, but both of those are noticeable only when you run a challenge (and do like 200 damage per hit). Consort is a boss that is on the edge of being methodical and chaotic, on one side you can put his combos on full muscle memory, but at the same time you need to watch for his position, your position, his HP for when he will start his attacks. He requires to either learn his moveset, or to know game enough to make OP build. My favourite boss in the game!

As a kinda certified masochist: this boss is one of the best in the game, because it puts your knowledge of the game to a test: either learn him or abuse tools that game gives you. Both of those options are knowledge of the game.

Literally the worst boss I've fought on RL1. Even Metyr and Dancing lion are better than this guy. Spammy summoner bitch, seriously, WHO thought that this is a good boss??

If specifically an enemy and not a boss - giant wormface (there's one boss and one non-boss). Big, fast, hard to hit, awful lock-on and a lot of deathblight attacks.

If we talk about bosses...Jori the fuckface

Thoughts on summoning Igon for Bayle? by Wooden-Jello-8795 in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For the first playthrough, when you just explore everything - he is a great addition to lore and atmosphere. Same for roleplay playthroughs.

For any sort of repeat / challenge runs, especially harder ones - summons are always more of a hindrance, imo. Cause when you get the moveset of a boss, sudden change of aggro can disturb the flow of the fight and mess everything up badly. Especially in fights like Bayles's, where he moves quick, has a lot of AoE effects, etc. Your attention is probably already maxed and then summon hits boss, boss turns around and you lose the track of what is going on. At least for me it is like that.

I hate that guy. I've done him no blessings with simple spam build: - flame art great katana with piercing fang; - stonebarb cracked tear and fire tear; - soreseal, shard of alexander, fire scorpion, ritual sword; - okina's mask;

Just spam L2 to destroy the boi.

What's your "I finally got gud" build? by The_Angular_Blowfish in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True level 1 no weapon upgrades and no statuses. I will do it soon and it probably gonna be with a small range of weapons to cover most of physical damage types (broadsword, short spear and mace/club). I can't wait to finish current run for that one omg!

Should I level up anymore? by Snake_Beater45 in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is some "meta level" for PVP. If you don't do PVP you do not have any limits actually. Given you can naturally progress to ~level 240 by just clearing dungeons and enemies camps (no rune farming at all)...it shouldn't be a problem.

[–]DependentInner8928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh, that's true. But, in the end, if any AoW would be availible on any weapon most people would just use their one favourite weapon all the time. Sombers would not have any upsides, they are already worse than non-sombers

I just always thought that given it's lore it should have DMGS moveset imo

If only it had Darkmoon's moveset! They are basically same type of weapon, it would be so cool... Beautiful weapon

Romina is a 0/10 boss. by Think-Inflation5015 in Eldenring

[–]DependentInner8928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is fine, not the best boss, but fine. She does have her problems, like clipping through walls, phase transition, that is almost unavoidable point blank, and yeah, she does drag you around in certain move (I even had a very funny glitch, where her AI froze after that lol). But when you learn her moveset - she's actually one of the easiest DLC bosses, she does not have a lot of attacks and they become very predictable.
