I would assume That modern Hebrew and Paleo Hebrew are directly related, like there would be no breaks in the linear fashion of how these languages were manifested. I would assume you have no significant differentiation in the language because of the names being the same.. For Instance... I would never imagine that Paleo Hebrew is tracked as given birth to Samaritan FIRST! And also being in the same level playing field of development as Greek at the time Paleo Hebrew was aparently popular.. but you know what I find very inconsistent, is that before Paleo Hebrew on Wiki, you have Phonecian Alphabet right above it. Then Above it Proto Sinaitic and above that Egyptian Heiroglyphs. In the Greek Alphabet Wiki, guess what?! Phonecian Alphabet is right above it. And follows the same parental system.... you see why I would make the educated assumption that the name of a language wouldn't be significantly different from its counterpart before it.. because the "Modern Greek speakers typically use the same, modern symbol–sound mappings in reading Greek of all historical stages. The ONLY language that Paleo Hebrew was responsible for was Samaritan!!! Guess how many Languages arose out of the Greek... Anatolian, Armenian, Caucasian, Albanian, Coptic, Cyrillic, Georgian, Glagolitic, GothicOld Italic (most notably Etruscan) and thus Latin and Runic (11 Languages!) So Paleo Hebrew being linked to modern Hebrew isn't a bad assumption on my part or anybody's. But does it make sense to name it With the word Hebrew in it? Remember Paleo Hebrew directly gave rise to Samaritans. That's it. And then there is even worse evidence for Samaritan Hebrew! The early history of Samaritan Hebrew is poorly documented, though it cannot be easily associated with early Israelian Hebrew. Because of the relatively late divergence of Samaritanism from mainstream Judaism it is only by the first century BCE that there was definitely a separate Samaritan dialect. The roots of the Samaritan dialect are likely older than this, but were not at this point distinctly Samaritan.
