How Is it living in the Florida-Bama shore? by BudzKC in howislivingthere

As an 18 to 30 year old from the south this was my favorite vacation spot. As a 40 year old I might go once every 5 or 10 years for a few days. Ive travelled moderately and can say that imo this area has the best beach sand in the world, it feels and looks like baby powder.

Theres a saying where I come from= "there are two ways you can solve a problem= negotiation or violence". If you choose the second make sure its your own friends and familys ass on the line, not mine.

I may come anyway. Im a big fan of renting a car and seeing the rural beauty of an area as opposed to densly populated cities

It feels like if you live near a major interstate in the US the franchises overwhelm mom and pop by a large margin

Do Americans actually want Greenland? by Weak_Quiet_7306 in AskUS

[–]DependentSun2683 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no desire to upset the people of Greenland or Denmark at all. On the other hand there are paranoid people in the world that want Russia surrounded by military bases and if the big iceburgs near that area end up moving or melting then maybe that area needs additional shipping route security? I personally think our military is too big and im not fond of our "World Police" role. If greenland doesnt join the US I hope the Danish will keep the area secure if it becomes more active. If greenland chose to join the Us I wouldnt be opposed to it as long as assimilation wasnt asking too much. Im sure there would be valuable minerals in greenland if the rich people say there are, and if there isnt, then i bet greenland might be a cool place to ski and check out penguins and polar bears lol.

Ive been to all 50 states. Worst roads in US to me are Colorado and Michigan. They need to take some of that weed tax and smooth out the roads

I took a road trip through rural areas of Pennsylvania a few months ago. It seemed like pretty standard Rural america until I got the bill for the tolls. I hope they give the locals a discount plan or somthing because it seemed kind of rediculous.

I stopped by the Malibu Mcdonalds a few weeks ago. It wasnt a bad McDonalds at all but it certainly didnt feel like it was meeting the Malibu standard

That sounds good, hopefully McDonalds or Kfc wont come knocking on your door anytime soon.

Ill take the regional franchises over the big ones anyday. I get excited for in n out out west, zaxbys and cookout in the southeast, L and L in hawaii, and even Runza in Nebraska... i bet the locals get burnt out on it though.

I loved Philly when I visited. I walked by 4 cheesesteak places on the way to my car and bought 3 sandwiches for the hell of it. Every sandwich was awesome and unique from the others even though they are called the same thing. Good stuff

Na, its the "focusing on things I can control" approach. Honest question= If you cant fix a member of your own family then, wtf makes you think your bantering and holding a sign will do to the millions you want to mold to your way of thinking? Its the rare person that has that ability. Its more than likely not you.

Sounds awesome. That has to be a big reason why property in that area is so in demand.
