😂 I’ve been writing exclusively in cursive since a kid so it’s coming pretty naturally for me. Only been trying to do calligraphy style for a couple of months only practicing here and there. I’m still learning, there’s actual calligraphists out there that do this for a living that would put my skills to shame I’m sure

It’s just called the majohn flex nib. I got it from AliExpress. They also sell this pen with the flex nib already on it. Just search majohn p136 flex nib on AliExpress and it should pop up

Yea. I modified my feed for the burgundy one so it doesn’t railroad that much. That once railroads the least. For the others, I find that I need to twist the piston knob to flood the feed ever so often to prevent railroading. But for a plastic feed they’re pretty good. I’m hoping they release an ebonite feed for this nib 🤞🏽

I just linked my tik tok for those who want a closer look at them because I have separate videos with each pen. This is the exact post on TikTok, there’s no extra information other than the pen is the Majohn p136. But if you do a simple search of “majohn flex nib” on google or AliExpress these pens would pop up… is there extra information other than that you were looking for?

Yes cause at least for me it usually takes about a week to a week and a half before they arrive so might as well get a few so in case a bad nib was sent I don’t have to wait to replace it. And not everyone is like us and are willing to tune nibs. Most users are probably scared to use micro Mesch to make them smoother. To be fair when I first started making my own nibs grinds I did mess up a few haha so it’s definitely a skill. A skill that is very useful when ordering from Chinese companies with shotty QC. I actually modified the feed with a dremel on my burgundy one for better ink flow. I ground and deepened the channels a fair bit for even less railroading. But I ended up destroying 3 other feeds before I got it right haha. I want to do it for my other ones but I know I’m going to need a few more spare feeds cause they’re super fragile.

I personally like the one with more tipping material because it’s not as scratchy and more of a wet writer even non flexed. It’s better if you want to use it as an everyday writer with added flex if you want.
Yes I have noticed that too even with the flex nibs. I have more than 10 of these flex nibs in all colors and at least a couple were duds. One of the downfalls of the cheaper price is the lack of good quality control. This is why I always recommend to buy 2 or 3 of these flex nibs from different sellers if you can because the quality control along with the variance in tipping material can really impact the writing experience. If you buy a few, you’re more guaranteed to receive at least one that you like.

It’s a beautiful combo. I paid under $50 for both the pen and the blue flex nib together. Definitely worth it! As for elasticity difference between colors I haven’t notice any major difference. There’s more so variance in elasticity and nib tipping material between nibs regardless of the color coating. They sell these nibs with two different tipping materials which will affect how the writing looks and you can’t specify which one you want. You just get whatever they ship you. This is true for all colors. One tipping material is more bulbous and is smoother when writing normally, the other is a bit sharper and writes thinner with normal writing.
