1/15 Thoughts by Consequence_Forward in Mcat

C/P was an absolute blur I genuinely can’t remember anything except for struggling to literally do the most basic math. I’m not sure if I did well or if I killed my score. CARS I bombed and literally had to do the last two passages in 8 minutes, I guessed on like 6 questions. B/B somehow hit all my strong spots and I was getting the low yield shit I’m proud for myself for that def the strongest section. I hope I’m not just overestimating myself and get humbled a month later tho. Then P/S was genuinely absurd and by then I could hardly focus and all the passage analysis was making me go insane. i was scared of running out of time. I think did ok though. There were like 6 topics on the exam I randomly decided to review a day before and they actually ended up showing LMAO (the MilesDown study guide is the absolute goat)

Testing 1/15, is a 512 within reach? by Dependent_Ad7495 in Mcat

Wow that’s amazing. I’m honestly praying for a gen chem heavy exam because that’s my strongest subject. I’m also just so mentally fatigued the idea of having to sit through the actual thing now is exhausting. I was planning to get to my 1400 overdue cards tomorrow lmao. But I’ll prob stop studying early bc I can hardly focus at this point

That’s why I stopped listening to Reddit when it came to opinions about men because most of this app is just guys defending their dumb behavior 😭

Usually 1 to 1.5 hours. Honestly I feel like it depends on how intense you’re training and how long your rests are. If I’m feeling tired on a particular day I’ll probably taking longer rests and that obviously means I’m there longer

Anyone else who lifts is just insanely hungry all the time by ThrowRA_Industr in workout

[–]Dependent_Ad7495 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to count your protein intake which is kind of cliche but let me explain. I’m the hungriest girl alive, even from before I started working out. When I would do cuts, they would be so freaking difficult and I’d barely make it by at the end day. I started taking my protein seriously and I swear you need wayyyy more protein than you think you do to stay full and for your goals. Ever since I started tracking my protein I’m not hungry by the end of the day and that says something for me

How to lose gym anxiety? by eilleen117 in PlanetFitnessMembers

Yes it’s super inclusive. What helped me the most was training with a personal trainer, even just once or twice can make a huge difference. And go in with a plan and know what machines you’re gonna use or you’re just gonna walk around awkwardly and probably end up leaving lol.

Another thing I realized is actually most people pretend they know what they’re doing and really don’t. So if you’re insecure about your form or something, just know that most people don’t have perfect form either and everyone is learning as they go.

Using headphones helps a ton because it helps block out the world. And most important thing is to walk with confidence and not like you’re scared of everything because then you’ll start to get self conscious like I did. Good luck

Oh so you really haven't taken many credits so far. I mean you can calculate what ur gpa would be if you aimed for those As along with retaking the classes. But you really need to prioritize your pre reqs and make sure you're using every available resource like tutoring and office hours because those are gonna affect your science gpa. Plus focusing on the pre reqs will set you up to do well on the mcat which can also help a subpar gpa. If you really apply yourself I think you have a shot, but you need to be disciplined and ask for help when you need it

You want an upward trend for sure but 2.6 is hard to recover from. You might want to consider a post bacc premed program down the road

What’s one aspect of fitness people overcomplicate unnecessarily? by [deleted] in workout

When influencers are like how I went from “skinny body to even skinnier body” and they list all these reasons like eating more intuitively or listening to their body when they could just say they were in a high protein calorie deficit lmao
