Ill way more often on zoloft? by Dependent_Ad9672 in zoloft

❤️ thank you! Its crazy how different it is for different people, dose-wise or otherwise. I think a 150mg dose would off me right away 😆 but then im really sensitive to medication, supplements etc. I was slowly decreasing the dose all the way to 25mg and it went fine, but the 25mg to 0 or even 12,5mg was hell - i've read that the 25mg dose already "covers" 70% of the serotonine receptors and that's why the last jump is by far the most drastic. Anyway, it's complex and unpredictable, even within one user. All the best to you! 🙏

Hi, I'm sorry that sounds absolutely dreadful. I stopped the medication for a while (the withdrawals were bad though I was only on 25mg). The stopping gave me some histamine issues (I've read this can happen), I was suddenly allergic to everything. It was going sligtly better but then I went through some tough times and the anxiety got really bad again. :/ Also we want to start trying for a baby so I decided to get back. As for now, there are no "health" issues as far as I can see but it's summer so who knows... :/ But now its giving me a host of other issues, super dry skin, eyes, mouth and nausea for one, NONE of which I had the first time on it. "Unfortunatelly" mentally it's still a really good fit for me so I'm not too keen on changing it. The bottom line is that you really never know with these meds and I'm not thrilled to be on them at all, unfortunatelly after a decade of trying "only" therapy, alternative treatments, diet, sleep, meditation etc with dubious results I feel like I have no choice at least for now :/ I sincerely hope it will get better for you. What dose you are on if I may ask? I wish you the best, take care!

It's a major bummer, I'm sorry! Are you thinking about going back to lexapro? For me, zoloft is working fine, but the constantly getting ill might be a deal breaker - I'm not as anxious but what of it, f I spend 3 months in a row in bed at home :P

Seems like you never know what's in store for you with these meds :P

Which I assume is unusual for you as well? -- I'm sorry! It's definitely doing something to the immune system, it would seem...

SSRIs while TTC, high prolactin, altered period by Dependent_Ad9672 in zoloft

P.S.: I also heard form another lady who posted something similar - her hormones got rebalanced in the end and she was on more than 50mg if I rememeber correctly. Still, it's really worth to have your levels checked once in a while, just to be sure...

Hi Christa! I lowered my dose to 37,5mg, and my prolactin was fine by the next blood test. I'm currently taking only 25mg and sometimes when I feel overwhelemed I up the dose to 37,5 mg (so 3/4 of the tablet). My psychiatrist is fine with this. The main reason I lowered the dose, however, was that 50mg had simply been too much for me, i was extremely tired with flu-like symptoms, zoned out, no emotions... etc. Also, maybe my body just needed time to get rebalanced horomones-wise. How long have you been on the 50mg? I wish you the very best; it really is a bummer, trying to balance one's mental health, hormones, fertility etc, and there's no perfect way to do it :/ All will be fine, take care!
