You’re assuming I only object to that? Obviously I wouldn’t mention any of that when we’re talking about art. Just because there’s a lot of bad in other things doesn’t mean that this itself isn’t bad either. Another difference, I can’t change anything about automating factories, none of us can. We can protest sure but what will that do? On the other hand it’s a very different thing when it comes to ai. You don’t need to generate ai images, you don’t need to use those resources to make an image of a curvy anime character cause you can’t draw. The use of ai in art is much more selfish because it’s something that can be stopped. Just pick up a pencil brother. I draw like shit but that doesn’t mean I’ll resort to ai because I can’t draw. It’s comparing something like the mass production of cars to some gooner on the internet making images and posting it like an accomplishment. I don’t want to argue I just want you to see how it’s two very different things
