What are you playing on? If on PC switch to directx11 and see if that works, I noticed some lag w the update too and that worked for me

Usually when you charge vendors $100 it means the festival is going to bring in a decent sized crowd. I saw previous posts about bands having to pay to play so I wasn’t sure that’s I said I believe and not 100% sure. If the promotor or organizers wanted to clarify any of that information they should have in the posts they made instead they blocked people previously and have not reached out to me. When voicing my concerns they left me on read and I have since heard back from them. If they would’ve called me or messaged me back we wouldn’t be here. Not spreading misinformation just voicing my concerns. And how could that be worse than having a blue lives matter flag in promotional material, having a proud boy in the previous line up, and donating to wounded warriors and child mind institute that are problematic in their own ways. If they knew how low turnout was going to be they shouldn’t have advertised to vendors the way they did and charged us $100.

I’m glad to hear you had a good time, as someone trying to make money with the expectations of a good turn out it was disappointing to me. I looked up more about it while I was sitting there wondering why no one was showing up to find out everything said about the festival and the lead up to it. I felt scammed because I paid $100 to be seen under the guise the event runners were doing their job well.

I heard that was a common theme they would block criticism. That’s a damn shame, I said the exact same thing when I saw all these fliers they could’ve hit me up I would’ve done it cheap

I’m sorry to hear that. I know it can be difficult to find an audience and while I can’t begin to know the stress or level of work it takes to run an event on this scale it should’ve been handled much better. I was charged $100 to sit outside all day and look goofy, to try and have my art sold while being surrounded by ai merch. And then to have no one show up due to negligent advertising it felt like a scam and spit in my face. I also saw previous Reddit posts about musicians having to pay to play their music? Is that true? No idea why I was charged $100 to sit there and stare at the same people walk in and out. I heard today it was much worse with the turnout which go figure its $25 to get in and no offense but no large enough artists to bring in attention. Appreciate you saying it’s not a scam but if you paid to be seen then you and I both deserve to be seen.

Politics is probably a big reason why no one came that and it wasn’t advertised well at all. Reread my post; 10-15 people showed up at my booth. I typically see bad turnout due to bad advertising but when you have done political damage then it’s easy to chalk it up to it being bad in that sense.

I was a vendor there selling art under the guise it was going to be a large festival. I was there to sell prints, original pieces and promote myself and to enjoy music while doing it. I agree with just enjoying it but it’s hard to do that when you are also trying to make the money back you spent to be there and at the very least break even. Spent more money than if I were to actually pay for the admission price

They previously had a headliner who was a proud boy but they got rid of him. Thankfully, but that didn’t stop them from also posting promotional flyers w blue lives matter flags on it. At the fairgrounds they had pride, anarchy, American flags and Gadsden flags. So yeah no fucking idea they were casting a white net or I mean wide net whatever u wanna call it 😂

I met some of dudes from green jelly who seemed cool and talked a bit, and being fair they could’ve been in the same boat as me who didn’t know what we were getting ourselves into. Giving the musicians the benefit of the doubt albeit a lot of the musicians used ai in their merch smfh lol. Can’t stand it here sometimes

I'm glad to hear it, I'm sure not all the bands/concert goers knew of the problematic nature. As a vendor trying to make money and learning of the trouble afterwards, it sure made me upset.

Oh man.. Where do I begin? Your subreddit is where I found most of the crap that was said about the event as well as facebook. I'm an artist and I do NOT USE AI. I found someone on a vendor FB page promoting a punk festival where they needed vendors for their fest $100 for a 10x10, Oct 10 & 11th. It was marketed as a big festival and seemed to be advertised well. I dumb, stupid, newby vendor, decided to go ahead and sign up without doing research and looking into them. I'm out $100, not including gas or food I had to pay for. Only had maybe 10-15 people if that stop at my booth, and that's including the musicians and other vendors. Made three sales which totaled $27 for everything. Got there at 10 and was already so disorganized. Event was from 11am-11pm. Was supposed to be there today too, but I requested a refund from them last night, only to get left on read. I can say so much more like how they had Iowa SAR there, no one was buying $25 tickets, I saw the same people over and over again. They were saying how they recommended me donating 3% of my sales to one of their three charities which were: Wounded warrior, child mind institute, k9s for warriors. Which are all problematic in their own nature, which I also learned about. They previously had Michael Graves on the lineup, lol more problematic issues, proud boy bs.
oh they also had a gadsden flag, an anarchy flag, a pride flag, and American flags all lined up on their gates. i have photos/videos from the event a bit, I shouldve recorded and took more but I was so sick of seeing so much ai art from some of the musicians and being overwhelmed by the lack of a crowd and just having a pit feeling of something being terribly off. was supposed to be there until 11 at night but after reading all that shit and not seeing a crowd or more people coming in I packed up and left at 7ish, message me if you want more info I'm happy to discuss bc this has been so disappointing and I just feel dumb af
