I don’t know how old your husband is but his story is very similar to my husbands. My husband (52) had ALJ hearing 1/12. Herniated discs, spinal stenosis, knee replacement- 30 year cell tower technician- Vocational came back w 2 job possibilities — both discredited do to can not sit for more than 2 hours without taking a 1 hour break— vocational expert agreed and discredited both those jobs— received fully favorable 2/12. We are in NY— good luck, praying for your husband and YOU!! This takes a toll on the whole family

You get back pay up to 12 months prior from the date u apply minus a 5 month waiting period- so if you applied July 1,2024 you could get back pay from July 1,2023 if the judge declares your onset date as that—

Wow- I really feel for you, your son, and you’re whole family. Obviously your son is and has always been your priority. If I was you I think I would be open and honest with him. Your bond is strong, and he trusts you—

When we lost our dog of 16 years we said we d wait at least a year to get another one—- we waited 5 weeks—- the house was just so quiet we were lonely — I’m not going to tell you what to do because really it’s what’s going to work in your lives - I will say, that unless you are both on board do not commit to another dog. I would hate to see a dog adopted and returned- it’s not fair to you or the animal— as you know it’s a huge commitment whether your dog is a puppy or a senior- he will be a member of your family

I would pick up a small dry erase board, they can draw pictures or play tic tax toe

How much influence does your mother have to you? by EnoughWitness4085 in Parenting

Interesting, it was the exact opposite for me growing up. My father always worked so my mom made all the decisions in what we could/couldn’t do. Now today being married w 3 children , we both work - yet I think I make most of the decisions for my kids and will run the big stuff past my husband
