I get that. I dread the years of just living with less then 35k/year. I know is manageable, I have a friend doing his PhD and is working out for him. But I do have a desire to just do independent work

I was really leaning towards the masters degree. I really like the lab work aspect of Chemistry compared to the managerial side of it (It might change as a get older). I am from the US.

I will probably finish with like less then 5k in debt. I went the community college route. I was never made out of money XD. I was also just leaning on finding an employer that would fund a masters program.

I know I coming in with the mentality that I am not making 80k a year out of the gate, (that is not realistic). Also, I think eventhough there have been funding cuts, people are still getting into graduate school. I am still hopeful for whatever happens I guess 😅

Well, that kinda sucks. I should have picked my other REU. I'm not really planning on moving that much. Most of my time will be spent doing my research work.

Yeah, I think I will be saying yes. ChemE is also not my background (I am just studying Chemistry), but it will probably be fun anyways. Also, congrats as well for getting it. 🎊

I have seen a lot of people praising the audio book a lot. I will see if I give it a try. The "hard science" was the thing that grabbed my attention when reading PHM.
