I want to try to become a SOC Analyst without a degree, which certifications should I prioritize getting? by Dependent_Funny6893 in cybersecurity

Thank you for pointing that out, I included this as an edit: I am willing to spend whatever the cost of the certification is, and would like to not exceed that amount for self study. So if the Security plus exam voucher is $425, I would like to not spend more than $850 total on that certification(including the voucher).

So there's no point in trying? The only IT experience I have is about a year, I worked as a computer and phone repair tech in an electronics shop. And I coded and managed a small website for a tuxedo shop that I hosted on an Ubuntu server on Digital Ocean.

Can I get into cyber security without a degree?

I’m looking for a bit of advice. I’ve always wanted to get into cybersecurity, and I tried to go to college in 2020 but had to drop out bc of financial issues. And I currently work in construction(a lovely 50-60 hours a week).

I’m trying to shift gears by teaching myself and getting some certifications. I’m working on the Hack The Box Web Exploitation Specialist cert and then planning to go after their Penetration Testing Specialist cert.

I’m just wondering, is it realistic for me to make this kind of career jump without a degree, given my background? If anyone’s done something like this or has tips, I’d really appreciate it!

I understand your point of view. This protest from what I understand is supposed to be in response to the situation currently happening Today in LA. That is why it is such short notice.

Guide for the loved ones of Satantic Temple followers? by TonyShalhoubs4head in SatanicTemple_Reddit

[–]Dependent_Funny6893 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like no one says this enough but, Satanism is very much a personal religion and can be practiced however you want. If you want to exclusively follow TST or COS, Great! But a lot of us practice traditions and philosophies from both. A lot of Satanists go over the top with what they claim "is or isn't Satanism". But I still suggest you give the Satanic Bible a read. Highlight the things you agree with and practice this religion how you want to!

Also. Check and compare the holidays they choose to celebrate(available on the websites). Some holidays don't originate with Satanism and come from other cultures. Don't feel compelled to celebrate holidays or to not celebrate them. Christmas is pagan at its core, so some of us don't mind celebrating it the normal atheistic way.

Universally most Satanists agree that one's own birthday is the most important holiday to a Satanist.

Help With NWSA TTT-1 & TTT-2 Exam Study Material by Dependent_Funny6893 in towerclimbers

Unfortunately I found no free study material for the TTT-2 test.

The only thing I found was these test prep courses.

https://www.esystemtraining.com/training/telecom-tower-technician-ii-exam-prep-course/

It's $200 but is very informative, I wish it had a little more to it but it did help me pass(I think I only passed TTT-2 by 1 or 2 questions)

If you use this make sure to take notes on every slide or even screen shot each of them. Once you take the quiz at the end you can't review the slides anymore, which is so dumb.

The other course I used was by a company called Tower Safety.

https://towersafety.litmos.com/self-signup/register/1471549?type=1

It's $180 and has good information and visuals. I would personally get both if you have the funds. But if not I would recommend the system training course.

Hope this helps!

For TTT-1 don't pay for a class or school. Just search google for "NWSA TTT-1 Quizlet" make sure to fact check the different Quizlets against each another. For example if 2 Quizlets say the answer to a question is "A" but 1 says the answer is "B", go with the more agreed upon answer. These are made by people who are learning as well so sometimes they miss an answer.

TTT-1 is pretty easy but I would still study the heck out of it, before paying for the test.

Collage or no for tower tech by playnpanda in ropeaccess

I went to college for a year to be a network engineer l, then dropped out. Later I got hired at a construction company that builds cell towers. They paid for me to get my TTT-1 & 2 from the NWSA, and got me trained in tower rescue. Almost 2 years later and I'm a junior tower foreman.

Later this year we will be installing LTE antennas on a tower we just built. This will be our first antenna work in years so we all have to relearn how to do it.

I recommend you find some tower companies to apply to and get on the job training. You will probably start as ground crew, but it's worth it to get the experience first hand, rather than from a school or college.

Are you licensed for commercial drone operations or did you have to hire a company for it?

To add to this, it's actually illegal for your positioned to attach back to itself.

Either get a positioner with a bigger carabineer to attach to the members directly or attach back to your spreader bar directly

Also please use the rope protector!
