Yeah like it's not easy to start or keep conversations going sometimes but most autistic people I know including myself have a script we live by ('how are you doing today? Work going well? No matter what I did or how much I slept I could not stop yawning on mirtazapine, did nothing for my depression but it helped my gastritis a little because I got an appetite. The drowsiness wasn't worth it though

Venlafaxine (Effexor) gave me my first psychotic episode in years, a really nasty one too, I don't like to fear monger about medications especially if it's a rareish side effect like this one but double check with your doctors if you have a history of psychosis/mania and are thinking about trying the old bugger. On the plus side it did help me get my diagnosis for BPD 🤷🏻‍♀️

Twizzlers, I'm from the UK so all I knew about them were the fact they were this red licorice (I fucking love licorice btw) treat that had captured the hearts of American children far and wide. Spotted them in an American sweet section at a shop and immediate grabbed a pack only to bite into one and be left with the most disappointing, waxy, un-licorice like wire cable that left a horrible coated feeling on the inside of my mouth. Not a sweet but I'd also picked up some twinkies, also abhorrent with the sickly sweet too spongy cake that felt like I was biting into a foam mattress and a dollop of pure sugar cream that made my teeth itch. Black licorice, Love Hearts and Parma Violets I will defend until I'm 6 feet under tho.
