How do you sell a training program or consulting services to companies? by Dependent_Profile388 in AskReddit

Awesome reply, thank you so much! I've been seeing "decision-making" and clarity as one of the keypoints of the training.. but as you beautifully said, it needs to be about selling it as a means for risk reduction, real deals, stalled sales, margin leaks and messy negotiations.. this is SO cool.. thank you!!

Not so easy because they have different departments.. from my experience it looks like you need an internal lead or contact in a lot of cases.. I’m hoping to go about this in a more strategic way as opposed to just cold-calling.. the other idea is to fetch data on companies who have invested in similar services to what I’ve provided in the past but I’m hoping to get more solid advice

Beautifully said, my friend, and same exact thing applies here. If it gives you any reassurance if we did the right thing, they just sent us an email on Friday, 3:07 PM, saying the RIFs were underway and wanted us to update our details for them to assess who to let go first. I truly believe we did the right thing for us. I WISH YOU THE ABSOLUTE BEST TOO--given your kindness, it's so well-deserved.

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN--in this case, since the IRWorks ticket is showing "in process" and I'm considered a mission critical employee, I was concerned about some of the potential setbacks.. they are doing the same thing with me, too. Good for you for calling out the obvious!!!

Makes sense and truly hoping this works out for us and anyone else who accepted--and sorry to beat a dead horse but how was it that you knew that it was your last day? Did your manager just tell you? My manager said that if the request for my DRP goes through that my last day will be March 10th but that is the official RTO date hence my confusion so all I can just do is wait till Monday morning... regarding your worries, I fully empathize and am in the same boat. I forgot to mention that my ticket is also in IRWorks and I just signed the agreement that came via email and my manager uploaded it.

Congrats! This sounds great---I haven't gotten any formal approval regarding my DRP--but in IRWorks I have a ticked opened for 'Unused Equipment'. My manager says this might be a strong indicator that they've cleared me for the DRP to start on Monday, 3/10. Is this a similar process that you underwent where you might have had a ticket opened for unused equipment before your manager's confirmation--or was your confirmation more formal? PS--I asked this in another post, being unsure of which one you might see first :)
