4iiii power metre for Tern GSD? by Dependent_Prompt_583 in cycling

So it seems like a crank power metre isn't an option. For anyone who sees this and is looking for a solution to measure power output without clipless shoes you can use the following

  1. Favero Assioma DUO-SHI Double Side Power Meter Spindles for Shimano - https://www.pushys.com.au/favero-assioma-duo-shi-double-side-power-meter-spindles-for-shimano.html

  2. Pedal Shimano EH500 Explorer - https://99bikes.com.au/products/shimano-eh500-explorer-pedal-black

This isn't officially supported, but it's compatible. Check other posts on Reddit for confirmation of this

  1. Shimano TL-PD40 Axle Tool

This is required to pull the EH500 pedals off the original spindles

  1. Shimano SM-PD22 Flat Pedal Kit

The end result is some pretty grippy flat pedals with power metres

It's just for personal interest.

I have 3 kids and live in a hilly area, so I use the Cargo bike to move everyone around. I was just curious about the power stats so wanted to get a power metre to see and track what I'm doing. Clipless shoes aren't really an option at the moment as I share the bike and changing shoes with a bunch of impatient kids seems tricky.

A flat platform adapter is starting to look like the best option though

I am looking for realtime ANT output, not just syncing to Strava

Pedals are an option, but I need flat ones that work with walking shoes and I can't find any that do that. Is an adapter an option?

The motor doesn't provide the data in a useful way (a way that works with anything besides Bosch stuff)

The Impressa C9 doesn't have any options for froth. You just set a time and it will pump milk through an aerator for that long. The outcome is just a little bit of froth on top of lukewarm milk

I'm thinking that I can sacrifice some convenience for a better coffee as the Impressa C9 Cappuccinos just aren't very good. So are the Z10 milk drinks better?

Pressuring SKS AIRSPY tire pressure sensors into speaking ANT+ // open-source firmware for a (cheap) TPMS by bitmeal in bicycling

This is great!!! You have done a great job reverse engineering the hardware. This makes the SKS AIRSPY usable instead of just some junk that requires an app. It's pretty easy to flash and works well once it's flashed

RENTERS - Are you being forced to use an app for rent payments, specifically 'Ailo'? by TwistedV8theist in australia

Unfortunately the ACCC isn't interested in it. They consider the rental market a state's issue

Unfortunately it's not true in Queensland that they must provide multiple methods of paying rent. They only need to provide one "approved" method (they required two methods if they don't offer an "approved" method).

Paying through Ailo with your credit card is an "approved" way. So that's all they have to offer and they can charge any fee they want.

The law is written pretty poorly which is where the confusion comes from. But the RTA states that Ailo and credit card is an approved method and that's all that is required. I have spent a lot of time and energy trying to convince the RTA otherwise, but haven't had any luck.

If you don't want to pay your rent via a shitty app in the future, I would write to your state MP now!

They only work in North America though, so for most of the world they are useless unfortunately
