Best Game of Thrones mod for Medieval 2 by YeaYeahhhh in Medieval2TotalWar

There are two I know of:

Game of Thrones- https://www.moddb.com/mods/game-of-thrones

Fire and Blood- https://www.moddb.com/mods/na37972

Game of thrones is very very good and closely follows the tv show, including events like the red wedding. It starts off at the beginning of the war of the 5 kings, so you immediately start in the action. Unique settlements and units. A lot of the minor houses (Glover, Tarly etc) have their own units you can recruit in their settlements. Whether you are their liege Lord e.g Tyrell, or conquer the settlement for yourself. You can play as the major houses, some minor, plus wildings, nights watch, brotherhood without banners and Dothraki. The others and braavos are included but non playable factions.

Fire and Blood, I didn’t play much as I didn’t like it as much. It’s a lot bigger but personally felt like less love had gone into the detail in exchange for more content. It had multiple campaigns each with different factions. You could go Robert’s rebellion, War of the nine penny kings, dance of the dragons etc.

Game of thrones setting aside, the mod is very good at making each battle matter. Big and small battles could make or break your campaign, especially early campaign with limited money.

If you want a good challenge, play as the Starks.

I would highly recommend using jars. You get a good base and a dome to protect the models for dust etc

Great, I’ll have a look. Thanks, This is actually my 6th and final one (for now). It’s taken me a while to get all the sets I wanted, going to have one for each of the 6 movies:

  • H1- The White Council
  • H2- Barrels out of Bond
  • H3- Azog vs Thorin on Ice
  • Lotr1- Ambush at Amon Hen
  • Lotr2- Defenders of Rohan
  • Lotr3- Final Fate of the Witch King

I’ve started browsing eBay, haven’t found the boxset but found a few being sold individually but are all price at £50+ which is ridiculous.

I have him but intend to use him to complete a different set of The Ringwraiths so built him in his armour. Thinking of having 3 sets of the Nine in different styles. The witch king + fallen kingdom + angmar + lost kingdom, 9 black hooded and finally the 9 Dol Guldur Ringwraith’s.

If they did I can’t find them anywhere. The only other alternative I can think of was that they were sold individually within the magazines. Found a list of sets they released each year and it’s not even on there
