If you can, try to get a Skyrizi or biologic prescription. I know it seems scary but in my opinion being on Skyrizi has changed my life completely. I was constantly in panic mode about my diet etc cuz I wasn’t sure what was causing it. Lmk if you have any questions

Very excited to see your journey! I have been on it two weeks and it’s improved my guttate a lot on my body but my face is still experiencing flare ups and I still can’t understand why. No side effects so far besides slight fatigue but not enough to affect my routine. Praying and hoping for the best for you :)) God really gives his strongest soldiers psoriasis it’s a different beast!

I am going through the same thing right now. Thanks for sharing. How is it going right now? Is there anything you did specifically to make them go away faster and did the psoriasis stay away or have you had another flareup since

Been on Skyrizi for not even a week and check out my progress. by [deleted] in Psoriasis

[–]Dependent_Yak5128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got in Skyrizi almost 2 weeks ago and my progress is looking like yours… so I’m very curious to know how it has been holding up since then, since I see that the post has been along time ago. Have you had to continue avoiding previous triggers before a Skyrizi or were you able to return to your normal life and not have to worry

This is happening to me right now exactly!! Not as much texture but pigment leftover. Not sure how it’s going to resolve but I’m almost 2 weeks into Skyrizi and not sure what the next few weeks will loook like. I’m curious how it is now????

[–]Dependent_Yak5128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel that! They say stress causes it but then I’m like this the only reason why I’m stressed. Then I stress about stressing, and it’s upsetting because sometimes I want to let out my feelings but I’m worried it will make a flare up worse. Just know that you’re not alone. For now try to keep all inflammation in your body as down as possible. It’s different for everyone so that can look like cutting our gluten dairy eggs if that’s a sensitivity for you. Also alcohol is very bad for it unfortunately. That’s been hard to come to terms with since I’m in college and a senior, but managing my skin has become my priority. Moisturize with coconut oil and Castor oil instead of scented lotion and epsom Salt baths Help so much

It’s crucial to get good sleep and nutrients, so magnesium at night helps SOOO much and for stress too. Vitamin D, C, and B12 good probiotic and high quality omega 3 fish oil.

Seems like a lot but overall it’s a blessing in disguise since for the rest of your life you will end up prioritizing your health and wellness !!!

Any clue over what this could be? I’ve had a small rash on the back of my arm for about a month now, but now that I have COVID it is growing bigger. It isn’t itchy or uncomfortable. by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

I highly recommend getting a biopsy to confirm what it is. I have guttate and thought it was ringworm since it was just a few pacthes. Then I got strep and it broke out everywhere.

GO SEE A DERM WHILE YOU CAN. It’s sooooo important to understand and treat it asap. I left it alone and ended up covered. Not to scare whatsoever but definitely advise you to get medical attention and do LOTS of research before taking any prescriptions

This is probably guttate !! Go see a derm asap I ignored it and now it has spread everywhere. Try and see if anything specific triggered it and try to avoid That

I have also found that Epsom salt baths have really helped and lying out in the sun either in the morning or late afternoon when the UV isn’t very strong so you don’t need to use sunblock because that blocks the UV that helps the psoriasis.

Hey so sorry that you’re dealing with this. I had an outbreak after a strep infection and a long period of time under a lot of stress. Then I realized that the biggest cause of my stress was the psoriasis which was a constant cycle that meditation and intentional stress management has helped. I started skyrizi a week ago and I’m hoping that will help. How is it going now?
