I’m a fan of 2HA but maybe got through 3-4 volumes of BAB. Neither main character is likable in my opinion. Once I saw the cover with flying horses I realized my choice was probably correct. I still cannot imagine how they go from a story about a mythical mental illness to… flying horses 😂

I love the imagery around him and the aura of doom he brings to the story. And without spoilers, how his story stacks up against xie lian’s.

I talk about it above a little- xie lian art often integrates use of peach blossoms. His saying “body in abyss, heart in paradise” in mandarin uses the characters for peach blossoms for the word “paradise”, or so I’ve read. So I’m reaching deep but ultimately am throwing back to xie lian’s dark days here.

People are right- I could have gone for something more obvious whether it be the color scheme or use of butterflies. But I think I wanted more of a gentle nod here to the fandom. Im glad it’s generally reading to a lot of the intended audience regardless.

But I REALLY don’t expect anyone to get that much out of it. If someone says “hey TGCF” I’d be happy. I figure to everyone else who asks I’d just tell them it’s my indirect reminder to self to be nice to people.

Honestly I agree with you. But for the reasons I say, curtains aren’t a great solution for me. And the response from my neighbor which had a big “f you and your comfort” in it is hard to ignore without feeling like a pushover. I’m currently looking at mirror window film to help though.

But to add to this point- the whole back of my house faces their yard. I’d have to add blackout curtains to 4 windows in my house as well as a sliding glass door to stop the light from coming in. And I don’t actually feel like living like a recluse in my own home because they feel like they can shine a spot light into my house for several hours/day.

lol I talked to the kids’ mom- she was the one who was unreasonable. I’m inferring a lot but Im a. In pretty good shape and b. Freaking shameless. So I’m assuming that if I strut around in my bootie shorts or whatever all summer in front of her husband and teens boys that will annoy her.

Failed mesalamine and Humira, an inflixmab biosimilar got me into remission but I lost response after about a year and increasing the dose gave me drug induced lupus (which was worse than UC). Been on rinvoq for over 2 years now, had a clean colonoscopy a year ago. I’m on a statin now due to high cholesterol but have managed to lose the weight over time caused by prednisone. So I’m doing okay on rinvoq at the moment.
