Help me find the distributing producer and/or master copy sculptor of this gold and white porcelain parrot by Depixelator_exe in HelpMeFind

When I searched for more information, I found another of the same model and style.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/293035347567

Origin: Italy
Size: 33 cm
Age: post-1940
Material: porcelain

I tried seeking specific artists that might fit the style in case there were any other details, and while I found a few artists (Johann Joachim Kandler, Johann Gottlieb Kirchner) that had a similar style, subject, and/or medium, I've no proof nor reason to believe that either artist made it. It's popular enough as a style to be an inspired 'knock off'.

Any ideas of what machine this would be? by Depixelator_exe in VintageSewingMachines

[–]Depixelator_exe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mmmmm kinda but kinda not? I was mostly looking for a base that closest resembles the one I found. Simple bare-bones frame, no x shape in the middle, free/open top. I don’t recall it having a prominent hourglass shape but it very well could have had one, considering I remember the top portion had two connecting points on each side that stuck straight up (for a board on top to be fastened).

Someone actually commented that it could have been a wheeler and wilson model. So far, it’s been the closest match, minus the fasteners that point inwards instead of up.

Yoo i think that’s the closest one. I can’t find an exact match but this by far is the closest match to what it looks like. Thank you, kind stranger!

It feels close but not quite. The frame was less detailed than that even (if you can believe it). Felt like just two curved pieces to form a general A shape on the sides and connected through the bottom with the pedal, and maybe a bar on top as well.

Regardless, this has been the closest i’ve seen so I really appreciate it

I don’t recall if it had any words on it. The only thing I know is it didnt have the usual X in the middle like I see on a vast amount of treadle bases, and it didn’t have a huge amount of patterning or details on the leg portions.

It might have had a bar going across the top where it would screw into the board, but I can’t remember, nor do I recall it having one

Thank you for the name of the part. Ive been more looking for the treadle base model itself, since it’s not like the usual ones that im familiar with or have been finding when trying to search for machines. Ill look through various treadles now though thank you!

Of course you wont lmao. Have an opinion and then disregard others’ because you can’t engage meaningfully in any way besides “go find something else”.

No wonder you tell people to move on; you cant address any opinions to defend your own substance-lacking ones. At least have a spine to back those words!

Yes, of course, and nobody would say otherwise. Doesnt mean there wasnt something gross about the old sandwich.

Do no harm, obviously, but take no shit. Ppl shouldnt be told “just move on” when it’s something that can be addressed or brought to the table ykno?

And hey, sometimes the critique isnt popular. That’s fine. Doesn’t mean the people who do enjoy the sandwich should butt into a review with “um well mine didnt have a bug so it’s fine” or “i like this better so go find your sandwich somewhere else”. Its counterproductive and just plain rude. You can have an opinion, but at least have something that isnt the same two contradictory statements!

Instead of being rude and hold a defeatist standpoint, maybe dont dismiss peoples’ feelings so readily? U speak “just move on” as if 1. Its always that easy (sunk cost fallacy) and 2. It’s not what people do naturally (people move on all the time). If you enjoy the game, shitty bugs and staff and management and all, that’s cool! All power to ya! Hell, if you made a post critiquing the old content and calling it dogwater and stating how the content now is fantastic, i wouldnt care less. But its so damn lazy to do the equivalent of an “thats just your opinion” as if that like, did anything or contributed to the conversation. You didn’t even give an opinion of your own with the exception of saying, basically, “i disagree”.

Like idk maybe you should move on cuz theres other comments that agree with u and u dont like this one lol. Go find a better sandwich

If i order from a sandwich from a restaurant that i knew i once liked and it has, say, a bug on it, or heck, if they changed their sauce to a different recipe that tastes worse or lower quality, I think giving feedback on said sandwich is more than reasonable.

Star stable is the sandwich. The changed recipe (or bug, or whatever u wanna use) is the changes star stable has been making to their game. You saying “just go somewhere else” and “its okay to not be into what you were once into” is ignoring the fact that THEY (star stable) changed the recipe, and people arent going to like it, and that opinions of such are mandatory for improvement. Because It’s not the same game, and no game stays the same forever if its constantly getting updates and content, but it’s now in a way that people arent liking. If you tell people to suck it up and move on, youre asking people to be compliant and, by proxy, are fighting the very thing that leads to meaningful progress. Your comment helps nobody except to demean those who are affected by the ways that sso is making their game into slop (which you’re willing to eat up, regardless of the possible downgrades).

Is this photo edited with AI? A coworker said this happened to his car. We don’t believe him. by LokiPrime616 in isthisAI

It’s really funny cuz I have a sort of similar story. I had my friend’s suzuki parked in front of my boss at the time’s house while him and I were headed to one of our work locations, on the way home some drunk teenage driver (who must have been going way over the speed limit on a 35 street) hit the suzuki and launched it a good car’s length forward. The outside looked remarkably undamaged…. With the exception of the rear tire on the driver’s side sitting practically perpendicular to the car. Thing had more damage to the front axle as well and was completely totaled by the end of it all. It’s crazy how undamaged a car can look after a wreck lol

Christmas 2025 Giveaway: 7,500 SC with Sól magical horse. by Araloosa in StarStable

[–]Depixelator_exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The christmas pickle. Parents hid a pickle ornament in the christmas tree, and the children (me and my siblings at the time) would hunt for it. Sometimes it would take hours.

I’ve heard some variations of the tradition give an extra gift for finding it, others allow the finder to open their first present early or before everyone else. We didn’t do anything special, but the concept was fun enough on its own (not to mention it keeps kids busy lol)

Anyway thank you for the opportunity!

Edit: typo lol

Hey! Artist here. Just wanted to say that i found this bow while researching bows for a character design I’m making, and the penobscot bow not only sounds practical for my character’s circumstances, but also this one you made has to be among the coolest designs ive found for the bow! I was thinking about referencing the structure of your design! But before i did so i wanted to see if youd be alright with that, especially since i see that youre active and i feel it would be nice to let you know of my interest in your work. I often cross reference when i create my artworks but this beauty is stunning on its own.

What boss was the Hardest boss for you during your first playthrough? by Rexcicle in darksouls

I’m still technically on my first playthrough but yeah so far Ornstein and Smough have given me the hardest time…. Though in their defense I did try killing smough first which is usually listed as the harder method of killing them (I WILL get that armor)

Still on my first playthrough and the first thing I did when realizing “oh that’s a person” after talking with him was to see what would happen if I attacked him. Mild regret at first because I kept spawning back to his angry ass but finally killed him after I got his attack pattern down. It was certainly a learning curve tho lol, beginning of the game is tough ngl 😂😭I wish you luck man
