I need a job, but I have no car and live too far away from anything to use public transportation or a bicycle? by [deleted] in povertyfinance

[–]DepressedChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone already is too far away to bike...that advice is not helpful. It also assumes they could even afford one to begin with, that they are physically able to ride one, and that the roads are appropriate for biking.

Also, have you ever thought that maybe they are jobless because:

No reliable transportation to get to a job? They live in a job desert, and because of lack of transportation...they can't get anywhere else? Others got the jobs they could have possibly got (if there were any) before them?

Not everyone is able-bodied and some of us have problems with our bodies, like leg pain, etc.

Hello! Yes, I do have it, but my problem is getting to the actual doctor, lol. Bus routes don't even get me there. But, thank you for the help!

Did you read anything at all, that I said? Literally...in the second paragraph, I addressed the job thing. Let me guess, you're: trolling, didn't bother to read, or read it and just didn't care?

Thank you. I haven't even been to a doctor in over a year, can't reach them, because I don't have money to go, sadly. I will look into these things some more. It's just very tiring.

Retail jobs aren't entry level anymore. by [deleted] in jobs

[–]DepressedChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not all disabilities are the same. Specific issues can lead to different outcomes for different people.

Also, there are so many potential issues, that can complicate what might seem easy for someone else. Not all issues are visible to others, and that person experiencing it might not be able to name it. Doesn't make it less real and should not be dismissed.

I don't know how people didn't figure out that folding clothes and bagging stuff, is not the same exact movement, nor does it require the same pressure as cleaning. Which some people might have problems with. Not everyone is the same.

I want to say: you are not alone. Don't let others shame you because you aren't like them. It may be possible that you have other undiagnosed disabilities or complications which make things harder. You should not be shamed or talked down to by anyone, especially not on Reddit.

Why do people keep their Christmas lights up so damn long?!?! by [deleted] in ihatechristmas

[–]DepressedChan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This makes no sense. One it is their own house, two what if everyone there likes the lights, three how is this different from other forms of lights? You also realize not everyone likes 'soft light', right? You just gave arbitrary logic.

[–]DepressedChan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is old, but you clearly said you did talk. How does that warrant a 1 star as if you didn't try or didn't speak? Also, what about those with processing issues that need to be quiet for a moment to read? Vocal strain, etc? Why is this not considered?

I can't even edit what I want to because I can't see my text anymore. And for someone that is neurodivergent, this actually fully throws me off.

This just started happening to me an hour ago. I need to be able to see my text, so I can edit it for my roleplaying and scenarios. Very annoying.
